Do you like TED talks? Want to see some live?
TEDxYouth@Columbia is South Carolina’s by-youth, for-youth conference organized by
teens that brings the TED Talks experience to a local level. Over the course of one day,
we unite selected South Carolina high schoolers around the power of ideas with talks
given by speakers from all around the world and activities like the MP3 Experiment
Columbia.

This year’s conference takes place from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday,
March 18 at Irmo High School. Direct questions to our TED student leaders, Aua’
Briana Sosa and Jasmine Alexander-Coleman.

on Friday, 2/17. Students must RSVP using the Google form below and return a signed

April 3 - 7: $75 per person
April 18 - 21: $100 per person
April 24 - 25: $150 per person
Seniors who attended Westwood’s prom as a Junior are
admitted FREE to the prom.
All fees/debts must be paid in order to buy a prom ticket.
Pay Ms. Monroe in the fees office.
Non-Westwood Students must be approved to go to the prom.
Approval forms are now available outside of student activities

Are you interested in being the Student Body President
for the 2017 -18 school year?
There will be an interest meeting for all those wishing to run for
president on February 17 during lunch in student activities.
Applications will be given out at this time.
You must be a rising senior and have at least 1 year of experience in student council
(either House or Senate) to run for Student Body President.
Last classes that will be held at Westwood are scheduled for
March 9 and April 20
You may take the class at ANY SCHOOL that is convenient for you.
