For your Summer reading Program about Science, why not have … Quotable Einstein learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them. If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination. Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere. The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives. Einstein Explains it all Biography Charles, now retired from gainful employment, performs at theatres, listening clubs, schools, libraries, and arts festivals. He is also coordinator for the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild, is the Pennsylvania state representative for the National Youth Storytelling Showcase, and State Liaison for the National Storytelling Network.. On a good hair day he looks like Mark Twain. On a bad hair day…its Einstein. I love your wonderful, laid back style, and apparently so did many of the folks at the festival.” Mary Morgan Smith Three Rivers Festival “A gifted storyteller with a quick wit and a love for the spoken word, Charles will captivate both young and old with tales that will tickle your funny bone while they warm your heart.” Thomas Druckenmiller Sing Out! Radio Magazine "Charles Kiernan painted images with words and expressions, entrancing three generations of listeners with his stories. ...people stopped to tell us how much they enjoyed him." Haycock Elementary School “He is just wonderful! Pay him money.” Jolene Kiernan (His wife) The object of “Einstein Explains it All” is to get children to think a little outside the box. Einstein will encourage them, through the use of simple thought experiments, to look at the world differently, using their imagination to see paradoxes, and conundrums. There will also be some of Einstein’s biography, and a bit of history, but mostly it is about time, space, energy, and mass, the building blocks of our world. The show is meant for inquisitive minds of all ages, and is about forty five minutes in length. I will make the science as simple and entertaining as possible. There is no special equipment needs. I have a sound system if one is required and not otherwise available. The overall goal is to have fun with science!
