Youth News
PAT 2011
The 17th Annual Prom Alternative Trip takes us to
St. Louis on April 28th to May 1st. A sign-up sheet is
on the youth bulletin board, with full details.
I know this is a hard decision for many, especially
our Seniors and Juniors of Warren County High
School. I would only ask that you at least consider
going with us rather than the prom. I have always
thought that a good selling point for PAT is we
offer 4 days and 3 nights rather than 1 night at
what I would assume is less money. However, I
would hope you would also consider us because it
strengthens your character as well as providing a
great influence on those around you. Christ’s apostle, Peter, once said Christians are a “peculiar people” (I Peter 2:9; KJV.) The world doesn’t understand us sometimes, because we are going against
their current. We choose to follow God’s orders
and not man’s. So, when you decide to go with
your youth group on a trip such as this instead of
the “norm,” it will turn heads and seem confusing
to your peers. Yet I hope and pray you will still
think about the opportunity you are afforded and
will be boarding the bus on that Thursday. Thank
you for considering.
IF it is only a money issue that is keeping you from
going – PLEASE SEE ME!! Money is available and
your situation will be handled in a secure and discreet manner. Please DO NOT let money be the
reason that keeps you off the bus headed to St.
Louis! We are going to have a blast at Six Flags,
riding to the top of the Gateway Arch, feeding
goats, eating with Superman, riding go-karts, making “bus” memories, and many, many other adventures during our 4 days together.
