 1- Conditions, Health, Taste, and appearance.
 2- Location, People, and Things.
 3- Also used with the Present Progressive, “-ndo”
verb forms.
Present Progressive
 Same as the “-ing” in English
 Used to talk about things taking place right now
I am eating. (right now)
 I eat. (some time)

Ejemplos
1- I am eating
Yo estoy comiendo
2- I am talking
Yo estoy hablando
“ndo”
 Estar + “ndo”
V.C.
 -AR = -ando
 -ER/-IR = iendo
 If an I comes between 2 unaccented vowels, it changes to
a Y. (There are some exceptions i.e. seguir – siguiendo)
Stem changes with Present Participle
 Only –ir verbs with a stem change in the present
receive a stem change in the present participle

dormir – durmiendo
decir - diciendo
