Program: Early Head Start has three components:
1. Prenatal Care
Pre birth to children 4 months of age. An advocate will visit to educate
Mom and provide case management as needed. To qualify you must
have pregnancy test, picture id and husband’s income.
2. Home Visit
After the child is 4 months old there will be home visits providing
parenting education to insure appropriate child development.
3. Child Care Center
To register children, parents must bring their birth certificate, SSN and
immunization record and parent pay stub. Mom needs to be working or
studying at least 20 hours a week . Parents should also apply to CCIS.
We offer a Family Home-Based Parenting Program through our
MOMobile® and Early Head Start (EHS) services. We use the Florida
State University Center for Prevention & Early Intervention “Partners
for a Healthy Baby” Home Visiting Curriculum. This evidence-based
curriculum covering pregnancy to 36 months is a nationally recognized
approach to parent education.
We provide parenting education to parents of children at risk for child
abuse and neglect. Our Parenting Education Program targets
vulnerable pregnant women and parents/caregivers of very young
children (ages 0-3), including incarcerated women, women with
substance abuse problems, and women with both substance abuse
and mental health problems.
Our specially-trained HIV Advocates work with women to reduce their
risk of contracting HIV and AIDS through our targeted prevention
programs. Advocates provide education to clients enrolled in our
programs and group interventions to women in community settings
such as shelters, substance abuse treatment facilities, and hospitals.

The majority of people in the building
In late 1999, in order to meet the needs of a medically underserved,
largely minority population in Montgomery County, Delaware Valley
Community Health (DVCH) Inc., opened the Norristown Regional
Health Center. DVCH is a private, 501(c) 3 non-profit healthcare
organization whose mission is to provide high quality primary care
services to patients regardless of their ability to pay. The Center serves
as a multi-lingual and multi-cultural medical “home”, thereby reducing
the inappropriate use of local hospital emergency rooms as primary
care providers. For insured, uninsured or underinsured Philadelphia
and Montgomery County-area residents, the NRHC is considered to be
the best (and many times, the only) healthcare provider. Patients are
charged for services on a sliding fee scale based upon their income.

http://www.cuny.edu/about/resources/citizenship/info4undocume
nted/PAFindingSomeoneDetainedbyICE.pdf
When Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) gets involved
before, during or after an arrest, there are a few steps that must take
place before a defendant can be released. At arraignment, a judge will
set the local or county bond. ICE will place a hold on the defendant to
remain in custody until extradition by ICE to an immigration facility.
Once extradited, it may take as long as 3 days for the defendant to be
issued their immigration bond, as long as they are eligible and are not
remanded to the detention facility. During this time we can go ahead
with the beginning of the Immigration bond process. This way, once
the bond is set, we are able to post bail as soon as possible.
Immigration bond specialists are available 24/7.
