Heads Up for Kids - SORTING INSTRUCTIONS
FOR ALL COINS BEFORE THEY GO TO RESENE HEAD OFFICE
You will need 11 plastic bags at any given time. Any sort of plastic bag will do, but plastic bank
bags will be best.
Do not try to fill them, but send them regularly to Resene HQ no matter the amount. Fill multiple
bags if necessary.
Lions and Resene staff do not need to count the money, but it is important to sort into the
following categories:
Old New Zealand Decimal
Bag One: All NZ and Australian copper 1 & 2 Cent coins can be put in the same bag together.
Bag Two: Silver 5 cent. Sort into separate bags of any amount
Bag Three: Silver 10 cent. Sort into separate bags of any amount
Bag Four: Silver 20 cent. Sort into separate bags of any amount
Bag Five: Silver 50 cent. Sort into separate bags of any amount
Bag Six: Banknotes. Sort into a separate bag of any amount
Current Money
Bag Seven: Separate out from all other money. Put it into one bag and take it to your nearest
Westpac branch and bank it into:
Westpac 03 0558 0252696 01 (Lions Clubs International – Coins 4 Kids)
Old Pounds Shillings and Pence
Bag Eight: Sort all old pre decimal shillings and pence coins into one bag.
Bag Nine: Sort all old pre-decimal banknotes into one bag.
All Foreign Money
Bag Ten: Sort out all foreign coins of any country and any denomination one bag and despatch
it to Resene Head Office regularly - In other words all foreign coins in together.
Bag Eleven: Sort out all foreign banknotes of any country and any denomination one bag and
despatch it to Resene Head Office regularly.
