Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Thank you for all the hard work you do
every day and for your dedication to the
children of Hereford.
Public school teachers have played a
pivotal role in my life. As a first grader at
Hawaiian Gardens Elementary in ABC
Unified, California, it was my teacher,
Mrs. Parker, who encouraged me share
my love of reading aloud with the
kindergarten class. This was not my first
(I did have a younger sister), but certainly
my first, formal introduction to teaching.
I know first-hand how a public education
and quality teachers can change a life. It
changed mine
