BLOODY MARY
According to Ryan Lindbuchler, Mary I of England reigned
as the Queen of England for five years (1553­1558), the
first queen since Mathilda in the 12th Century (1998). According to Lara E. Eakins,Mary Tudor
was the only child born to Henry VIII and
Catherine of Arago to survive childhood
(1995).
Why is she called "Bloody
Mary"?
According to Ryan Lindbuchler,
Mary could not get pregnant (many
believe she had an ovarian cyst), so
she was forced to recognize her
sister, Elizabeth, as the next ruler of
England (1998).

nickname because during her short reign, she had over 300
people burned at the stake for heresy (1998).
