A YEAR WITH K-WALLY
ON LOAN FROM THE
NORTH CAROLINA DISTRICT
1
K-Wally joined the Wake Forest Wings at the
end of Wings Over the Smokies 2011. He will
remain with NC-X for a year. We will return KWally to the District Director at the next NC
GWRRA Wings Convention. Until then, he will
travel with members of NC-X and spend time
visiting with the families who make up our
Chapter family. He calls Bob (Goose) Da and he
calls Dorothy (Mum). The other members of
NC-X he considers Aunts and Uncles. So far he
has gone camping in western North Carolina
with Uncle Frank and Aunt Jean Scaraglino, he
spent Thanksgiving with Uncle Bob and Robin
Maher and their son, Chris, he traveled to New
Orleans with Uncle Eric and Aunt Denise Patten
and their son, Eric, Jr. He will be traveling with

other Aunts and Uncles and riding with the
chapter throughout 2012.

A Message from K-WALLY
WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT I’D BECOME A STAR
AS JUST A LITTLE KOALA
FROM WAY DOWN UNDER IN A EUCALYPTUS TREE
A FURRY GENTLE FELLA
THEY TOOK ME TO BE THEIR MASCOT- WHICH WAS INDEED A HOOT
THEN THEY TRADED ME OFF FOR A BULLDOG AND GAVE ME THE BIG OLD BOOT
THEY THOUGHT THAT I WOULD MISS THEM -- THOSE BLOKES ON THE DISTRICT STAFF
BUT I JOINED A CHAPTER IN WAKE FOREST AND I’M HAVING A BIG OLD BLAST
THEY TAKE ME HERE, THEY TAKE ME THERE, WITHOUT A MOMENTS REST
THEY’RE MAKING LISTS OF PLACES TO GO WHICH ARE THE VERY BEST
I’M HAVING SUCH FUN WITH THIS GANG OF FOLKS, I THINK I’LL STAY AWHILE
UNLESS SOMEONE COMES ALONG WITH A BETTER OFFER AND A KINDER GENTLER SMILE
THEY LAUGH AND SING AND JOKE A LOT, THESE FOLKS THEY REALLY DO
I HOPE THAT BY CONVENTION TIME NEXT YEAR, RICK WILL MASTER THE DIDGERIDOO

FLYING THE PLANE WAS MOST FUN

K-Wally rode in the Rolesville Christmas Parade
in December with members of the Wake Forest
Wings. He rode on Johnny Hilliard's bike. He
also went to the O'Berry Center.
