Objective: As a result of this lesson, students will understand how a windbelt can create a current by the
movement of wind.
The Classic Windbelt Kit will power an LED as well as allow you to change belts and
magnets for experiments. The Windbelt Kit generates electricity using the principle of
aeroelastic flutter: the properly tensioned belt flutters in the wind; attached magnets
flutter with the belt, and the movement of the magnets next to a coil of wire
generates electricity.
