May 2013 Published by Neighborhood News, Inc. President’s Note Spring flew by and a long, hot Summer is just around the corner. We have had several successful neighborhood and community events over the last couple of months and I’m looking forward to more to come with the opening of the pool and the Ice Cream Social. What a great place to live! School will be out soon which means a lot more kids out and about at all hours so I would encourage each of you to be extra careful when driving our neighborhood streets. Please be aware, traffic must come to a complete stop at the cross-walk if pedestrians are preparing to cross. Also, families will be going on vacations and there could be more opportunities for criminal mischief so it’s a good time to get involved with our neighborhood crime watch to help ensure we keep an eye out for the betterment of the entire community. The cost of vandalism is shared equally by all residents. Homes continue to be built and more families are moving in. If you have any ideas for future neighborhood events and/or would like to volunteer your time to work with the HOA Committee, we would really like to hear from you. As always, for up to date neighborhood news visit our neighborhood website (www.HOACR.com) and follow us on Facebook at (www.facebook.com/CarterRanchCelina). Pool Opening is Here! The Pool will be opening at Noon on Saturday, May 18th! Please join your neighbors for Ice Cream at 3pm to celebrate! Remember when you go to the pool, you must have your pool wrist bands on, a pool card to open the gate, and you will be required to sign in. You must be current on your assessments for your pool card to be activated. Please obey all pool rules and the directions given by the pool security team. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your pool privileges. We take these extra steps to keep out non-residents of Carter Ranch and maintain the family fun atmosphere for all of our residents. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. So please, if you have any questions, email us at [email protected] - Essex Management. Yard of the Month The Yard of the Month is returning this month! Yards will be judged the last week of each month and the winners for the month of May and June will be announced in the July Newsletter. Please note that all fishing is “CATCH & RELEASE” so that all Residents of Carter Ranch can continue to enjoy the pleasure of catching fish. Residents should be aware that our lakes are still under the jurisdiction of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and as a designated “catch and release” lake anyone found removing fish from the lake and/or using them for bait may be fined up to $2,000 for each one confiscated. Only rod and reel fishing is allowed in our lakes, NO CASTING NETS. Our lakes are for the use of our Residents and guests of their residence only. All guests must be accompanied by a Carter Ranch Resident and should be respectful of other Carter Ranch Residents when using any neighborhood common area. Unaccompanied non-residents may be cited by the Celina Police Department for trespassing. Both lakes are clearly marked as NO SWIMMING. If a Resident is found to be in violation of any of these regulations, they may be fined by the HOA and/or have their access to common areas suspended. The Spring Events Were a Success! The Easter event was a huge success this year, with a great turn out despite the chilly weather! A Special Thanks to Kathy Mathis for heading up the event. If you have any comments or suggestions please let us know, we love to hear your feedback. The spring garage sale was also a success. We will be planning one again for the fall, so if you missed out and did not sell everything, fall will be here before you know it!
