4th Annual 2016 Vancouver International Wrestling Festival T he Vancouver International Wrestling Festival (VIWF) was originally created as part of the worldwide “Save Wrestling” movement to promote the sport and challenge the IOC’s recommendation to drop wrestling from the Olympic Games. While the sport will be in the 2016 Rio Games and 2020 Tokyo Games our sport is still fighting to return as a core sport that will be included the 2024 Games and all future Olympic Games.
