SPRING FAYRE NEWS
Dear BST Community,
My name is Nicki Titze and I am in charge of Sponsorships for the PTA for our Spring Fayre
this year.
We have many exciting prizes for the Silent Auction and Raffle this
year including flights with Virgin Atlantic to London, Shangri-la Hotel
Cebu, Conrad Hotel Tokyo, Ishin Hotels Group, The Peninsula Tokyo
and Hilton Niseko Village.
Other sponsors include Tokyo American Club, Coca Cola, Grand Hyatt,
Estee Lauder, Gakuto Villas, White Beach Hotel Shimoda and Villa
Nirwana Beachfront Villas (Thailand and Bali).
We also have for auction autographed and framed photos of celebrities like Ryo Ishikawa
(Japan’s No. 1 golfer), Tiger Woods, Brad Pitt, Daniel Craig (current 007), Sebastian Vettel
(Formula One) and David Bowie (photo and original LP).
So please support us by purchasing as many Raffle tickets as you can and come to see me or
one of the many teachers on the Silent Auction stand at the Fayre to bid for the wonderful
prizes.

Ticket Sales
Spring Fayre ticket sale (100 yen ticket) start from Monday 29th of April. Hurry to get a head
start for the Fayre!
Time: from 8-30am each morning
Where: Shibuya lobby or Showa reception
Price: 1 ticket is 100 yen; minimum 1,000 yen's worth (i.e. 10 tickets, or 20 tickets or etc)
Note: 100 yen tickets can also be bought on May 11th at the Admin & Tickets desk in SKG

We will are still collecting the following donations in the Shibuya foyer in labelled plastic
boxes
BOTTLES - we are looking for perfumes, wines, spirits, PIMMS, olive oils, vinegars,
bubble baths, sauces etc. - thank you!
TOYS - in clean, good condition please! Baby and toddler toys; older children's toys;
complete and sealed puzzles; no soft toys please!
TOMBOLA - do you have any unwanted gifts? We are looking for gifts for adults or the
home. No used items, please!
BOOKS - in near perfect condition only please! Baby and toddler books; older children's
books especially early readers, confident readers and books for teenagers; adult novels;
Travel and cookery books from the last 5 years only please! No magazines, thank you!
Thank you for your donations! They make the Fayre a huge success. The books and toys
are always some of our children's favourite stalls! We would politely ask again that
all donated items are in good condition and suitable for resale. Thank you!

PARENT WORKSHOP: Using IT with kids at BST
Monday 20th May
This workshop will outline developments in the uses of technology
in schools and some of the collaborative learning strategies we are
employing.

PTA TOURS
Wednesday 29th May, BST PTA Tour will be a walk around Odaiba.
We will be led by Rachel (Dawes) for a walk around Odaiba (no
shopping involved). If time allows we will walk across Rainbow
Bridge.
Sensible shoes are recommended. Meet outside BST Shibuya
reception for 8.45am to leave at 8.50am.
