Ugly Sweater Day
All staff and residents are invited to
join in the fun and sport your
“Ugly” sweater.
On Friday, December 16th. Everyone
wearing their “Ugly” Sweater may
put their name in a drawing for a
surprise gift. As well as a free lunch
ticket from Diversional Therapy.

We are going to pay
tribute to those we have
lost during the past year.
Please, join us on
December 12th at 6:00 p.m.,
on the facility grounds and
in the Birch Dining Room.
Ornaments will be hung on
the tree as well as presented to a family
member. We will have a
live video in the Birch
Dining Room.
A huge Thank You goes out to all
who came and supported the
Annual Fall Harvest Bazaar.
All proceeds go to provide

What’s Happening in December 2016 ?
Shopping…...On Friday, December 2nd, we will be loading up the bus to go to
Shopko in Iron River. Get your Christmas Lists ready and sign up with the
Diversional Therapy Staff.
Girl Scouts….On Saturday, December 3rd, at 3:30 keep your ears open the area Girl Scouts will be here to
sing Christmas Carols through the hallways.
Beer and Pizza Party...On Friday, December 9th, at 2:00 in the Birch Dining Room and Wood Haven
Activity Center. The Ladies Auxiliary will be treating all the residents to pizza from the Infield and beer.
Music will be from the Soundz of Time with Jan and Gino.
Musical Carolers……..On Monday, December 12th, the Iron County Musical Singers will be here at 5:00pm
and will be singing Christmas Carols up and down the halls.
Gifts from Santa…..On Wednesday, December 14th, at 2:00pm in the Birch Dining/Wood Haven Activity,
Santa will be paying a visit with a Christmas gift for all our residents. Special snacks are planned as well
as live music.
Forest Park Kids Visit…..On Thursday, December 15th, at 1:30pm, the children from the Forest Park School
will be her to help decorate the Christmas Tree in the Birch Dining Room as well as sing us some songs for
the season.
Santa’s Elves…..On Friday, December 16th, at 1:30 pm, the Diversional Therapy Staff will be available in
the Wood Haven Activity Center to assist any resident with their Christmas cards and packages. We will
have cards available also. Be sure to stop on down.
Color Light Tour….. On Tuesday, December 20th, at 6:00pm the bus will be leaving the facility and going
out to see all the beautiful Christmas Lights in the area. If you liked to ride around and look at the lights
this trip is for you. Sign up with the Diversional Therapy Staff if you would like to go.
Community Breakfast….On Wednesday, December 21st, we will be sitting down to a homemade breakfast
of fried potatoes, fried eggs, bacon, muffin toast, fruit, juice and coffee. Sign up with the Diversional
Therapy Staff if you would like to attend.
Head Start Kids…...On Wednesday, December 21st, at 1:15pm, our friends from the Iron County Head Start
Program will be here to entertain us with a small program. This will be held in the Birch Dining Room.
Mark your calendars to attend.
Sing-A-Long….On Friday, December 23rd, at 2:00pm, in the Birch Dining Room we will be enjoying
Brandy and Egg Nog singing some of our favorite Christmas Tunes. This has always been a fun filled
afternoon. Be sure to mark your calendars.
DT Luncheon…..On Monday, December 26th, we need the assistance of all of our cooks...We will be
preparing baked chicken breasts, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, salad,
peppermint ice cream with sugar cookies will be for dessert. Cooking begins at 9:00 am, with lunch at
noon. Those residents that help prepare the meal are able to invite a quest for lunch.
Monthly Birthday Party….On Friday, December 30th, at 2:00 pm, we will be celebrating all the
December Birthdays with live music, cake and ice cream. Be sure to join us in the Birch Dining Room for
this fun filled celebration.
