Walking Directions to Downtown Buildings









Armstrong Hall (ARM)
From the Mountainlair-Walk directly across the street, and a set of steps will be in front of
you. Walk down the steps which will take you into the second floor of the building.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue) and walk to your left. Go up the stairs, and it will be the first building on your left hand
side.
Brooks Hall (BKH)
From the Mountainlair-Walk across the street and go down the steps in front of you. Brooks
Hall is the building to your right at the bottom of the steps.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your right. Brooks Hall is the first building in front of you.
Business and Economics Building (BUE)
From the Mountainlair-Cross the street and walk to your right. You will pass Woodburn Circle
and the next building on your left is the Business and Economics Building.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your left. Go all the way up the stairs. When you reach the top of the stairs,
you are now on University Ave. Walk to your left, passing Woodburn Circle. The next building
on your left is the Business and Economics Building.
Clark Hall (CKH)
From the Mountainlair-Walk to the left past the first building (Stewart Hall). Cross Prospect
Street. Clark Hall is on this corner. There is an entrance to your left on Prospect Street.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst Ave.),
and walk to your left. Go all the way up the stairs. When you reach the top of the stairs, you are
now on University Avenue. Cross the street and walk to your right. Go past the first building
(Stewart Hall) and cross Prospect Street. Clark Hall is on this corner. There is an entrance to
your left on Prospect Street.
Colson Hall (CLN)
From the Mountainlair-Walk across the street, turn left, and walk past the two buildings with
white columns (Elizabeth Moore Hall and Purinton House). Colson Hall is the next building on
the right.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your left. Go all the way up the stairs. When you reach the top of the stairs,
you are now on University Avenue. Turn right and walk past a building with white columns
(Purinton House). Colson Hall is the next building on the right.
Downtown Library Complex (LIB)
From the Mountainlair-Walk to your left. The library is the third building on your left and sits
further back from University Avenue.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your left. Go all the way up the stairs. When you reach the top of all the
flights of stairs, you are now on University Avenue. Cross the street and turn right. Walk past
two buildings (Stewart Hall and Clark Hall). The next building on the left is the library; it sits
further back from University Avenue.
Eieseland Hall (EIE)
From the Mountainlair-Cross the street and go left. Walk straight until you reach Hough Street.
Walk down the hill and Eieseland is the last building on your left.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your left. Follow the steps that go down toward the street. Walk past the
first building to your left (Hodges Hall). Cross Hough Street, and Eiesland Hall is the building on
this corner.
Elizabeth Moore Hall (EMH)
From the Mountainlair-Cross the street and turn left. Elizabeth Moore Hall is the first building
with white pillars.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your left. Go all the way up the stairs. When you reach the top of the stairs
Elizabeth Moore Hall is to your left.
Hodges Hall (HOD)
From the Mountainlair-Cross the street and go left. Walk past the two buildings with white
columns (Elizabeth Moore Hall and the Purinton House). Walk down the ally on your right hand
side. Hodges Hall is down and to the left.
From the Beechurst PRT station-From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the
street below you (Beechurst Ave.) and walk to your left. Hodges Hall is right in front of you.
Life Sciences Building (LSB)
From the Mountainlair-Cross the street, make a right, and walk towards Woodburn Circle. Go
down the steps to the right of Woodburn Hall (the building in the middle with the clock tower).
At the bottom of the steps walk straight across the green into the ground floor of the Life
Sciences Building.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Walk down to street level (this is Beechurst Avenue). Walk
to the right until you come to a flight of steps on your right (this is right after Brooks Hall which
is under renovation). Walk up these steps until you enter the side of the Life Sciences Building.
Oglebay Hall (OGH)
From the Mountainlair-Walk to your right past the WVU Bookstore. Oglebay Hall sits across
College Avenue to your left.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your left. Go all the way up the stairs. When you reach the top of all the
flights of stairs, you are now on University Avenue. Cross the street and walk to your left past
the Mountainlair and the WVU Bookstore. Oglebay Hall sits across College Avenue to your left.
Stansbury Hall (STA)
From the Mountainlair-Walk directly across the street, and a set of steps will be in front of
you. Walk down the steps and around Armstrong Hall to the PRT station. Facing the street below
you (Beechurst Avenue), walk across the pedestrian overpass to Stansbury Hall.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk across the pedestrian overpass to Stansbury Hall.
White Hall (WHI)
From the Mountainlair-Walk to your left and past Stewart Hall, Clark Hall, and the Downtown
Library Complex. White Hall is the last building on your left. The White Hall Computer Lab
entrance is on the corner. There are two building entrances just around the corner from the
Computer Lab.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your left. Go all the way up the stairs. When you reach the top of all the
flights of stairs, you are now on University Avenue. Cross the street and walk to your right.
White Hall is the last building on your left, just after you pass the library. The White Hall
Computer Lab entrance is on the corner. There are two building entrances just around the corner
from the Computer Lab.
Woodburn Circle (WDB)
(Martin, Woodburn, and Chitwood Halls)
There are three buildings located in Woodburn Circle:
Martin (MAR): Located on the left of the circle
Woodburn (WDB): located in the center
Chitwood (CHI): located on the right of the circle
From the Mountainlair-Walk across the street and go to the right. Woodburn Circle will be on
the left.
From the Beechurst PRT station-Exit the platform, face the street below you (Beechurst
Avenue), and walk to your left. Go up the stairs to the top of the hill. You are now on University
Avenue. Turn left and continue walking until you see three buildings in a semi-circle on your
left. This is Woodburn Circle.
