The Clemson Alumni Association has announced five recipients of the Distinguished
Service Award, the alumni association’s highest alumni honor.
“The Distinguished Service Award honors individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the
quality and value of our university. I want to personally thank our award-winners for giving
so generously of their time and talents for professional and public service. Their personal
accomplishments serve as a wonderful model for our current and future students,” said
Clemson President James P. Clements.
Charles C. Mickel of Greenville, class of 1979, a tireless supporter of Clemson who is highly

Career Day
The Greenville Rotarian
One of the signature events of our club is Career Day.
This year it will take place on Tuesday, March 24. We
are offering two options this year for our Rotarians. You
may have a high school student shadow you at your
place of work for the afternoon or you can remain after
the meeting for a couple of hours for a structured
roundtable discussion with students interested in the
career clusters listed below. If you are interested in
volunteering, let Joan Burket know by emailing her at
[email protected] by February 10. Make sure
you let her know which option you prefer and which
cluster, if you opt for the roundtable.
Thank you so much,
Robyn Zimmerman, Chair of Career Day.
