Format: The NAIA Women's Golf National Championships is a four-round tournament consisting of a maximum of 144
golfers and played over four days. Competition is stroke play. Each team competes with five golfers and the top four
scores posted each day are counted toward the team standings. The tournament field is cut after 54 holes and reduced to
the top 17 teams and 40 individuals (including ties). Pairings and starting times shall be established by the tournament
director in consultation with the Tournament Committee.
Qualification: The team champions from each of the conference/A.I.I./unaffiliated grouping tournaments qualify
automatically along with any individual medalists from each conference/A.I.I./unaffiliated grouping tournament and
returning 2014 All-Tournament team honorees (Top 15 plus ties) that do not qualify on a team. After automatic qualifiers
are determined, at-large berths are awarded based on the final top 25 rating up to the maximum of 144 golfers (no partial
at-large berths will be awarded).
Air Travel:
Qualifying institutions and individuals are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Discount and group rates
are available through Shorts Travel (1-844-619-7044), the official travel agency of the NAIA.
Ground Transportation:
National Car Rental is offering special rates for the NAIA National Championship. Teams may access these special rates
by calling 1-800-CAR-RENT and using the special NAIA contract ID #: 5161246. Teams can also access this online at
www.national.com. Kelly Tours is also offering a ground transportation option for the Women’s Golf Championship.

Team Housing:
All teams are required to stay at one of the host hotels. Hotel rooms have been reserved for participating teams
at the Hyatt Place, Hilton Garden Inn, and Wingate. The coach (or his/her representative) must contact one of the hotel
partners directly to make a reservation. Friends, family and fans are not allowed to use any of the room blocks
designated for coaches and athletes.

Team/Individual Registration:
In addition to checking into the hotel, coaches of teams and individual qualifiers must register Sunday, May 15th 5:00
p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Place – 1st floor meeting room. Tournament credentials will be distributed and entry
fees/lunch fees will be collected at this time.
Entry Fees: Entry fee is $220 per player/$1100 per team, which includes five rounds of golf (Monday-Friday) and range
balls during the week. Entry fee is due at registration on Sunday, May 15th. Only checks will be accepted. Please
make checks payable to: Savannah Quarters Country Club.

Tournament Lunches: Coaches will have the option to pre-purchase player lunches for the week. Coaches must notify
the host no later than Wednesday, May 11th if they’d like to purchase lunches. Lunches will cost $50 per individual for
the entire week (Monday through Friday). Coaches must pre-pay for the lunches at registration on Sunday, May 15h by
check made out to Savannah Quarters Country Club. NO REFUNDS. Contact Pamela Thompson
([email protected]) to order lunches.
Rosters: Official Postseason Roster forms will now be filled out via the SIDHelp admin website at
www.naiasports.org/admin by May 1st. If you do not have a log-in account, please go to the link and sign up. You must
have an account in order to fill out the roster forms as the forms will no longer be available through coaches’ manuals.
Once you log-in, please follow these instructions:
1. There will be a section titled “Forms and Rosters”. Click on the link “Official Postseason Rosters”.
2. Fill out the roster form.
3. Rosters will be reviewed and signed by the Head Coach at Team/Individual Registration on Sunday May 15th
Credentials: Credentials are issued to each team’s official party. The official party for each qualifying team is seven (5
players, 2 coaches), while schools with individual qualifiers will receive a credential for the golfer and for the coach.
Rater’s Breakfast: The NAIA Women’s Golf Raters meeting will be Sunday, May 15h at 9:00 a.m. at the Hyatt Place.
Coaches Meeting: All coaches are REQUIRED to attend the coaches meeting Sunday, May 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the
Hyatt Place 1st floor meeting room. Championship rules and markings on the golf course will be discussed. This will
coincide with the NAIA-WGCA business meeting.
NAIA-WGCA Business Meeting: The NAIA-WGCA Business Meeting will take place Sunday, May 15th immediately
following the coaches meeting at the Hyatt Place 1st floor meeting room.
Champions of Character Program: All teams who are available after finishing their practice round should
participate in the Champions of Character activity on Monday, May 16th from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Teams will be
on the putting green or driving range teaching the game of golf to young adults with down syndrome or other disabilities or
with the First Tee Program.
There will also be a Team Captain Program/Host Family, where each team will be paired with a child/young adult with a
disability who will act as a ‘team captain’ for the week. The Host Families will contact head coaches closer to the event to
introduce themselves and begin working out plans for the championship.
Champions Banquet: The Champions Banquet will take place on Monday, May 16th at 7:00 p.m. at the Embassy
Suites Ballroom (605 W. Oglethorpe Ave., Savannah, GA). Attire will be business casual for the event (NO JEANS). All
tables will be reserved and marked. Please sit at your assigned table. PLAYER AND COACH ATTENDANCE IS
MANDATORY. Each team is given 7 tickets (2 coaches and 5 players). Individuals are given 2 tickets (1 coach and 1
player). Teams will not be allowed to purchase extra banquet tickets.
Practice Rounds: Official Practice Round on Monday, May 16th begins at 8:00 a.m. Greens fee is included in the entry
fee and all players will walk. Practice rounds and range balls prior to Monday are the responsibility of each
institution. Coaches will sign up for tee times in order of their ranking during the coaches meeting on Sunday.
Additional practice rounds can be set up with Savannah Quarters Country Club by calling (912) 450-2280. Please
remember that you are limited to one practice round during the weekend prior to the championship (Saturday
and Sunday, May 14-15) and any play prior to Saturday will not be monitored.

NAIA Long Drive Competition: A long drive contest will take place on one of the holes during the official practice round
on Monday. Only one player per team may compete. Individual qualifiers are also eligible to participate in the long drive
competition.
Spectator Carts: Golf carts will be reserved ONLY for spectators with documented disabilities and a doctor’s note.
Spectators must send a letter to the NAIA from their physician in order to rent a golf cart each day during the
championships. A rental fee will be charged. To guarantee a cart, letters must be received by the NAIA National Office no
later than Wednesday, May 11th and spectators must bring a copy to the championships. Golf carts must remain on the
cart paths at all times.
Athletic Trainer: A certified athletic trainer or physician will be on call throughout the week to accommodate players' needs.
Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather, participants, coaches and spectators will be notified via the sounding
of three short blasts from an air horn. If a late start due to inclement weather the tournament committee will inform the field of
the delay.
Souvenirs: NAIA National Championship souvenirs will be available for purchase during all tournament hours. Prices range
from $15 - $40 per item. Typical items are apparel, string bags, hats, visors, etc.
Photographs: There will be a photographer on site throughout the week and will make the photos available for
purchase. Team photos will be taken at a designated time during the practice round and the hole will be determined onsite.
