A Message from
MPPA President
Jason Wells
The Montana Police Protective Association is one of
the oldest and largest law enforcement organizations
in Montana. The MPPA is a nonprofit organization with
membership open to all police officers within Montana.
Through the years, the MPPA has developed and
built upon a proud tradition of leadership in state law
enforcement affairs. This tradition continues today in
its promotion of service programs for its members and
dedication to serving the public through protection and
safety.
The Montana Police Protective Association pursues
an active legislative program designed to secure laws
beneficial to the membership and the criminal justice
system. Members of the MPPA are committed to
providing the citizens of Montana with the very best in
law enforcement services. Each day these dedicated
men and women ably and selflessly face the dangers
and risks associated with the performance of their
duties – all in the interest of public service.
As we kick off the 19th Annual Eighth-Grade Essay
Contest, we look forward to reading about your views
on the problem of prescription drug abuse and what
can be done to address it.
Thanks for participating and good luck.
Jason Wells, President
