7th and 8th Grade Pre-IB Summer Reading
Future seventh and eighth graders must read a total of two books:
 one book from the attached list (also found on our team website (http://www.usd259.org/robinson/pib)
AND
 one from any one of the following literary award lists: American Library Association (ALA or YALA),
Edgar, Newberry, Nobel (Fiction or Non-Fiction), Printz, Pulitzer (Fiction or Non-Fiction), National Book
Award.
For additional options for further summer reading, please see the following novel list:

second reading choice. You may not select a book you have previously read for a class assignment. If there is
a book of literary merit you would like to read that is not on any of the above lists, please email Mrs. Sims
([email protected]) or Mrs. Lavacek ([email protected]) early in the summer to clear the title.
