NIAAA Sports Turf Field Day/Seminar Saturday, December 10, 2016 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Many athletic administrators consider managing athletic fields as one of the more challenging aspects of their job. This is even more true given today’s society where numerous media story lines raise issues regarding risk management and the health and safety of participants in athletics; many of which center on the actual playing surface. Because of this it is critical that Athletic Administrators have extensive background knowledge of what it takes to maintain safe, reliable and sustainable sports fields within a reasonable budget.
