About us
The photographers at ICKOOTU are
Caroline Addison and Eleri Tunstall.
Caroline has been photographing
weddings for seven years and was
joined full time by Eleri four years ago.
We work as a team, travelling all
over the country to weddings small
and large, formal and informal,
civil ceremonies and traditional
church services.
We specialise in the reportage style.
About reportage
Reportage photography is for those
people who prefer relaxed, natural
‘real’ pictures rather than posed shots.
Our aim at your wedding is to be as
invisible and unobtrusive as possible.
You won’t even know that most shots
are being taken. That’s when we can
catch you and your guests at your
most relaxed and those are the
moments you will always remember.
While we’re happy to take whatever
formal group shots you would like to
compliment the reportage coverage,
we still try to keep the process fun and
do our best not to boss you around!
So, if the reportage style sounds right
for you and if you’d like us to be part
of your day, we’ll look forward to
hearing from you!

Happy customers
You were both absolutely brilliant
on our wedding day, you were so
unobtrusive and what we really
appreciated was that we didn't have
to 'wait round' for photos to be taken.
All our photos were taken as the day
panned out which meant they really
are such a true reflection of the day
and you got some really natural shots
of us and all the guests. You really
helped make our day so special.
We want to thank you so much for our

beautiful wedding album. We knew
that it would be full of wonderful
memories and that your work would
portray the story of our day, but your
thoughtfulness - including such things
as my father’s, Marks and Emily’s
cards, together with the image of my
father really surpassed everything we
expected. It is such a joy to turn every
page and relive each image, feeling
Thank you for that gift.
Our wedding album is fantastic and
really picks up the highlights of the
day, including so many bits we didn't
get to see. Nothing was too much
trouble and it was certainly one of
the wisest things we spent our
wedding budget on.

The following pages will take
you through an imaginary
wedding day, using images
taken at various weddings
over the past two years,
to give you an idea of the
storybook coverage that
the reportage style gives.

1a. The build-up: the girls
As there are two of us - one of us can be with each
of you while you get ready to meet in the ceremony.
Being female, we can blend in with the bride’s
preparations better than most...
1b. The build-up: the boys
But we’re equally happy to join the boys on the golf
course or at the pub!
2. The ceremony
The benefit of two photographers is never more evident
than in the ceremony.
3. We did it!
Just after the ceremony is time to hug everyone and each other
and can produce some lovely shots.
4. Confetti time
There’s no such thing as too much confetti.
5. Formal groups
Although we specialise in the reportage, ‘as the
moment happens’ style, we are still happy to take
any group shots that you’d like. Ask your venue
in advance where the best place is for an entire
wedding group shot.

6. The couple
It is entirely up to you how many
‘posed’ shots you would like, if any.
We will be getting reportage shots
of you together throughout the day
(image 1 opposite, for example,
was not a set-up shot).
However, if you like, we can also
compliment these with some more
‘formal’ portraits. We shouldn’t need
more than 15 minutes for this and we
promise we’ll still make it fun!
7. Small people
If you’re inviting children to the wedding, be warned
- they tend to steal the show!
8. Shiny, happy
people
While you are quite rightly the
centre of attention, you have
also invested a great deal of
time, effort and money in
making sure that your friends
and family have a great time.
So we make sure we gets lots
of shots of them enjoying the
day as well as you!
9. Arty stuff
The details of your wedding
that you spend so much time
and effort getting right are a
huge part of the day as a
whole. The reportage style
allows you to document this.
10. Speeches
Always a great time for pictures; laughter, tears
and ‘slide under the table’ embarrassment!
11. First dance
Whether you’ve planned a fabulous coreographed routine or a
good old fashioned slow dance, it can be one of the first times
all day that bride and groom get a moment together!
12. Informal groups
Don’t worry if there isn’t time to organise a photo of every possible
group in the time allowed for your formal photos. Just grab us later
on and we can do more relaxed group shots then. You’ll probably
find your guests will take care of this for you anyway!
13. Really dancin’
When we say we stay all day - we do mean it.
We wouldn’t dream of leaving before we’ve got
evidence of your guests throwing some shapes
on the dancefloor!
