INTEGRATED ACTIVITY
In order to promote relevant discussion, the following questions are posed by the
teacher to the students:
- What is “big” and what is “small”?
- Can something “big” look “small”?
- What is the “biggest”/ “smallest” object or item you can think of?
A short discussion takes place about the size of various objects and how we label
them “big” or “small” when we compare them to each other.
Explain to the students that today they are going to sort various objects in size
from Biggest to Smallest and from Smallest to Biggest
Task: Arrange the graphics in order from smallest to biggest and biggest
to smallest. Today the students will practice using their mouse skills to
click on, drag and drop the graphics into a sensible order.
Note to teacher: This task requires the template: Size.xls which can be found by
double clicking on the e-Learner shortcut on the desktop.
1.
Double click on the e-Learner shortcut on the desktop.
2.
Click on the relevant volume number and lesson number.
3.
Click on the template hyperlink under the Template Linx heading
4.
Save your document into your digital portfolio → Office Button → save
as → locate your portfolio → double click → type a suitable name in
the file name box → save

The opened template will look like this:

Look carefully at the example at the top, now you
will need to move the graphics in order of
biggest to smallest

Click on a graphic to select it. When you select a graphic,
adjustment handles appear at the corners and along the edges of
the selection rectangle.

Move your mouse pointer onto the graphic, hold the left mouse button down
and then drag and drop the selected item to
its place in the open box

Do this until you have all the graphics
arranged in the correct order
10. Once you have completed the Biggest to Smallest
page, try and complete the Smallest to Biggest page
→ Click on the Smallest to Biggest tab at the bottom
of the page to open a new sheet.
11. Complete this page by moving the graphics from
Smallest to Biggest.
12. Print your work by clicking on → Office Button →

13. Save your work by clicking on → Office Button →
save
