Glad to get the new session started. This is the spring
session or also called the Vegas Session. Keep in mind
the following rules. Ask me if you have questions or
need a rule book.1. If you qualified for the LTC (local
team championship) you must stay in the top 50% of
your Division from then on. 2. Your team must have at
least 4 members on your team from the qualifying
session. 3. You can not change your roster after the
forth week of the spring session. 4. You can not have a
past Due at the end of the session. 5.All team members
need at least 10 lifetime matches by the end of the
session and established players must have four
matches by the end of the session if you expect them
to play with you at city or Vegas. 6. The 23 point rule
will be enforced at city and you cannot change your
roster after the fourth week. Be prepared.

Open Tournament
Results
In December, we held the Fall Open tournament at Clicks on
290. We had over 30 participants that competed for money
and prizes. The winners were awarded plaques, $100.00 and
sticks. Runner ups were awarded plaques $ 50.00 and prizes.
Every session we have 3 tournaments. The MVP, Captains
and the Open Tournament. Ask your Captain about when
these tournaments are coming this session..

THE BLACK WIDOW
What a show! On January 5, 2012 Jeanette put on a
show for us at Bogies. The show was presented by the
APA. We appreciate all the players who came and
brought friends. The APA Metro Houston was a
important part of the show as well. With the good
participation, we might try to do some more events in
the future. If you were at the show and got a photo
taken, the pictures are available on Facebook at APA
Black Widow Tour. Print them out or take a look at all
the people who attended.
If you missed the show, don’t forget that World
Champion Mike Massey will do three shows in Houston
next month. He will also put on a pool school

Classes: Qualified for Regionals? Mike is holding classes Sunday
February 26. 2012 at 3.00. The Class will be held at Big Tyme
Billiards. In these classes he will work with everyone on shots and
items to improve your game. He has suggested that the class is
more for skill level 5s or better. Want to improve your chances at
regional or Vegas you might want to register for a class. Class limit
is 8 and you will recieve a work book that includes trick shots and
ways on improving your game. A special item that you will receive a
signed 8 X 10 of you with Mike. The cost is $ 100.00 a $50 (nonrefundable depoist holds your spot) List is first come with deposit

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Every year memberships are renewed in January. With
that being said, if anyone want to renew by credit card
you can for the first time. This can be done online at
poolplayers.com as long as you have a member account.
We are working on expanding this service to include
weekly fees, but this is in the future.
MAKE UPS
All make ups must be approved by the league office.
Forfeits must be turned in immediately. Any make ups not
approved will be scored as complete after two weeks of
no contact. No one will get points. Any time a team
forfeits, the full weekly fee is expected from both teams.
These are the rules. Again, the match needs to be
completed within two weeks and fees paid with in two
league weeks. Also the office must hear from the Captains
or the match may be marked played and neither team will
get points.
Remember we are here to have fun. If we can grow to 35
9 Balls by March, we will have another team that can go
to Vegas. We have been at 25 teams so, we are close to
making it. If you can start a team to help us get to the 35,
it would be appreciated. We have 4 Division currently.

Any additional teams will help us get to the point where
we can add another trip to Vegas.
New Divisions
We are also adding Division 051 whch will be a in house
8 ball Division at Big Tyme. If anyone wants to change
Divisions, please call the office. If you are Qualified, the
50% rule will still apply.
New Members
As Always we need more members to sign up. If you
know of someone who wants to join up, please give me a
call or an e mail. We need more members so you are not
just playing the same people every session. Let’s have fun
and meet more people.
The first 5 people that call the office will win $ 5.00 if
they mention this line. Did not win? Then maybe I don’t
have your e mail. Make sure your information is correct
on the roster so you don’t miss our mailings, or our mass
e mail reminders and newsletters.

can grow the league and continue to have fun playing pool. If
