Honored Families
General Information, Policies and Procedures
The Luxembourg Fest Committee and the Luxembourg American Cultural Society invite you to
consider being an HONORED FAMILY at the 2017 Luxembourg Fest - August 12 & 13,
2017. Show your Luxembourg pride, celebrate your family's name and legacy, and be honored
by the Luxembourg American community. The number of annual Honored Families is limited to
15. Registration is now being taken for Honored Families for the 2017 Luxembourg Fest.
Registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

What's Involved?
The list of Honored Families will be officially announced and publicized in the media
here in the USA and in Luxembourg
•
Honored Families exhibit family memorabilia (photographs, family heirlooms,
genealogy) in a booth in the Honored Families Exhibit Hall during Luxembourg Fest,
August 12 & 13, 2017 (Set up on Friday, August 11)
•
Honored Families are announced during a special pageant on Sunday, August 13th.
Two representatives from your family shall process forward in the pageant and are
seated on the gazebo. They will be included in a special portrait of the 2017 Honored
Families
•
Honored Families are listed in the official program for Luxembourg Fest and in
publicity surrounding the Fest
•
Individuals/families with your family name from throughout the USA and Luxembourg
can come to the Fest to join in the celebration and to enjoy the "reunion"
Registration Fee
The registration fee to be an honored family is a tax- deductible, non-refundable donation of
$75. The registration fee is to be submitted at the time of application to secure your place as
an Honored Family. The registration fee supports the success of the Luxembourg Fest of
America. The registration fee provides you with the following:
•
A 10 foot (approx.) display area in the Honored Families Exhibit Hall including:
8' display table
8' x 8' folding pegboard display backdrop
2 folding chairs
•
A sign on a display stand featuring your family name to be located at your exhibit
booth
•
A sign featuring your family name to be carried in during the pageantry on August 9
•
Procedures
Complete the registration form and submit with your $75 registration (fee) to the
Luxembourg American Cultural Society
(Limited of 15 honored families. Families will be accepted on a first-come, firstserved basis)
•
When your registration is accepted/processed, the Luxembourg American Cultural
Society will send you a confirmation letter and additional details
•
Set-up of Honored Family displays is to take place on Friday, August 11, 2017, from 9
a.m. - 4 p.m.
•
Honored Family Exhibit will be open to the public Saturday, August 12, and Sunday,
August 13, 10a.m. - 4p.m.
•
Your Honored Family display must be dismantled on Sunday, August 13, at 4p.m.
