More Skip Counting Practice:
Have one student say (in Arabic) ten, the next student say 20, the next, 30, etc and keep going
around until you get to 100. (You can also do with just student and teach
Have students start at one wall and walk towards another wall counting by 10s in Arabic, taking a
step for each number said.
Make a life size version of the tens reading board (or write in squares with chalk on ground) and
student must say the number to jump on the square.
Have student do jumping jacks counting out by 10s in Arabic.
Have student daily skip count by 10s during Arabic review session.
Next
Teach (or review) how numbers above ten are said. (The ones place is pronounced first, and then the
tens place. Dictate numbers over ten to student, he must write it and pronounce it correctly. Be sure to
include practice such as this in daily Arabic review session.
