Are first in insulator had a lot of layers. Also the last layer was a clear layer and light came through was probably one of the reason’s why it melted.Also it was a weird shape that was really helpful of were to the ice cube in. Also that weird shape let some light through and that was another reason why the light came through and melted. Are old one worked ok it kept the ice cube cold for like two hours and how it worked we really wanted the ice cube to be secret and so that’s why we put a lot of layer around it. So that way the ice cube would have the shadow and that would make the inside cool inside. Are second on we put even more layers and the last layer was a paper towel so that way the light ill not come in and disturb the ice cube. And we change the shape and we put the cover over the top and that was one way we changed the other way was that we when we put more layers on it that way it made it thicker. Are second insulator is way thicker and we put way more layers. that was one way the light will not come and melt the ice cube. Also we put a cup over the top so now there is even way more darker. That way it will help the ice cube stand longer. The shape in our insulator was meant for the ice cube to fit it in right at the bottom. Our second insulator worked better than our first because the ice cube has a really shady spot that way it is cool inside. Also there is a cap on the top. That helps by keeping it cool inside also you can open it really easy to open it up and check on the ice cube. ALso with more layers it will really by how the sun will not come in and melt the ice cube and darker layers will work really well. I think that there is not a lot of changes to make on it all our group has to do is probably make it less sloppy. In other words do it all over again and put the layers and very slowly and gentle and make sure the layer are on straight also the water that come out of the ice cube what it does is that the water helps the ice cube melt. So what we will do is put a straw in and take the water out and put it in the other cup and that is another thing we need to change. Our third insulator did the best I think, because the last layer still dark and we kept our layer because that worked really well because the moe layer made it cooler and pretty much all the layer were dark so it cold inside. It definitely wasn’t room temperature. We also did this, we put a straw at the bottom and the ice cube would go right on top of the straw so every single drop went in hat straw. I think the best insulator for an ice cube is tin foil.
