What’s happening? Highways England is investing to improve Birmingham’s road network. As part of this, we need to protect one of Britain’s most iconic road structures, Spaghetti Junction. Spaghetti Junction is now more than 40 years old. We need to repair waterproofing and damage to the concrete under the road surface. To do this, we need to put roadworks on the A38(M) Aston Expressway, into and out of Birmingham, and at M6 junction 6. We’re doing all we can to minimise disruption during this vital project and would like to thank drivers for their patience during the work. Please remember to plan in advance and leave extra time for your journey. Birmingham is still open for business If you usually travel to Birmingham via M6 junction 6 or the A38(M) Aston Expressway, your journey will be affected. Birmingham remains open for business. The city centre is well served by public transport, including trains, buses and trams. For information on Birmingham’s public transport, visit: www.networkwestmidlands.com Drivers will still be able to get into Birmingham via diversions and alternative routes, and there are 25,000 car parking spaces in the city. © Crown copyright 2016.
