Environmental Responsibility:
Our environmentally responsible ABS
edgebanding is suitable for use on all
furniture types including where food is
handled, in hospitals and for children's
furniture. ABS edgebanding is safe to
incinerate or dispose on waste dumps.
Easy Processing:
You can easily process ABS through
edgebanders. It trims smooth without
chatter marks and static resulting in
minimal clean up which saves a lot of
time.

decors, including metals, in 23x1mm,

Décor is Almost Indestructible:
Made from acrylic and printed on the
back makes the décor almost
indestructible. Scratches and scuff marks
are easily buffed out without affecting
the décor, restoring the edgebanding so
that it looks brand new again.

Established in Australia for over 20 years, Surteco Melamine edgebanding manufactured
by BauschLinnemann in Germany has become the melamine edgebanding of choice for
the Australian woodworking industry.

A special printing and lacquering
technology produces colour matched
woodgrain edgebanding that looks and
feels like natural lacquered wood and
solid colours warm to touch.
The standard width is 21mm and a wide
range of other widths is available slit to
order with short lead times. Roll lengths
are 100m unglued and 50m preglued.
White is stocked in 250m unglued and
150m preglued. For the larger projects
long random length rolls are available.
The Ultimate in Square Edge
Look:
Melamine edgebanding provides crisp,
sharp 90 degree lines for the ultimate in
square edge look, in line with the latest in
architectural and decorative trends.

Standard size is 21x0.4mm. Other sizes
may be slit to order at short notice. Roll

Multilayered & Thin Veneer Edgebanding

Surteco “Flexiwood” multilayered and thin veneer is supplied in rolls and manufactured
in Europe and Australia to the highest standards to bring the best quality product to the
Australian market.

Flexiwood is a highly flexible veneer
designed to be processed via standard
edgebanding machines making it easy for
the cabinet maker to use while providing
excellent durability. It is also suitable for
curved work and “work-centre” type
edgebanders, due to a special flexible glue
line. Flexiwood is supplied in unglued or
preglued rolls to suit the application.

Standard multilayered veneer stocks are
100m rolls unglued and preglued. Stocked
dimensions are: 22x2.1mm, 29x2.1mm
and 38x2.1mm. Thicknesses up to 3mm
are also available on request. Standard thin
0.45mm veneer stocks are 100m unglued
and 50m preglued at 22mm width. Other
sizes are slit to order.

Significant events in Australia:
June 2000: The Döllken Group purchased the assets of ASL Plastics providing the company with manufacturing facilities in
Australia for rigid thermoplastic edgebanding. The company named Doellken-ASL was formed.
June 2001: Doellken-ASL made the first ABS Woodgrain (through-grain) edgebanding in Australia.
August 2003: Doellken-ASL opened its new “State-of-the-Art” edgebanding printing and extrusion plant in Arndell Park
Sydney.
August 2005: Doellken-ASL purchased the assets of Consolidated Edgings, which was both Doellken-ASL's and
BauschLinnemann's largest Australian distributor.
December 2005: Doellken-ASL Pty Ltd and BauschLinnemann International GmbH merged to form Surteco Australia Pty
Ltd, the largest edgebanding manufacturer and supplier in Australia.
