JAC Update 12/7/12

 Happy December!
It has been a busy two weeks here at JAC with many classrooms full of
interesting learning activities. I have observed electricity in action, a play about
recycling, guided reading and math games. I have also seen many creative oral
presentations and book talks throughout the course of the past two weeks. It is
always a pleasure to walk through the classrooms and see our students actively
engaged in learning activities. Please be sure to ask your student about their
learning experiences.
Warm regards,
Ms. Kennelly

Winter Attire
As you know the days are getting colder and the New England weather is
unpredictable. It is time for long pants, socks, boots (for use in the snow), hats,
gloves and scarves. Please send your child to school in a warm jacket each day.
We will be trying to get outside for recess (20 minutes each day) as much as
possible, and we want to make sure the children have appropriate clothing for the
weather.
Important CORI Information
CORI'S WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER December 31, 2012 FOR THE 2012-2013
SCHOOL YEAR. If you plan to volunteer at the school please fill out a CORI prior to
December 31st. Image From: conejo.k12.ca.us Student Council Compassion Project
The student council is making Holiday food baskets. Each class is gathering food

Here are some ideas for what to donate.

coffee, tea, dessert (mixes)
Turkey Dinner: Stuffing, canned vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, coffee, tea,
