FRENCH PORTION: YEAR FIVE FINAL EXAMS JUNE 2017 GRAMMAIRE : VERBS: ÊTRE, AVOIR, ALLER, and all ‘ER’ verbs learned. Students should know the meanings of these verbs and know how to conjugate them in the present tense as well as use them in simple sentences. They have to use the correct form of the verb in a sentence. POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES: ( Mon, Ma, Mes, Ton, Ta, Tes,) Students must be able to fill in blanks using the correct possessive adjective as well as recognize them in texts and use them in simple sentences. Ex. Je fais mes devoirs. / Tu aimes ta sœur. L’ARTICLE DÉFINI : le / la / l’ / les L’ARTICLE INDÉFINI : un / une / des LES PREPOSITIONS : sur, dans, sous, devant, derrière, entre. VOCABULAIRE: LES VÊTEMENTS –Learn words to describe clothes/ identify clothes from picture clues and describe what someone is wearing LE TEMPS- Students should be able to identify weather from picture clues. LES JOURS DE LA SEMAINE ET LES MOIS DE L’ANNÉE LA NOURRITURE: Learn the vocabulary for food and drink and identify pictures. L’HEURE : Sharp hour / quarter past / half past / quarter to- Students should be able to read a traditional clock face and write the time or indicate on a blank clock face the time given. LES COULEURS : Students must be able to use the correct form of the colour in sentences. COLOUR PENCILS MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE EXAM. LA FAMILLE : Students must know the vocabulary related to La Famille and be able to identify words in texts and also use these words to answer simple questions. LES NUMEROS : 0-100 COMPOSITION : Students should be able to write 10 sentences on themselves. COMPREHENSIONS will be unseen, but based only on the vocabulary studied. Students will have Multiple choice answers/ one word / a sentence. Some answers will be required in French and some in English. This will be specified. TRANSLATIONS: Simple sentences from English to French and French to English. Kindly revise all the work from the text, notebook, workbook and work file in accordance with the topics listed above.
