2017 Play Day Schedule/Formats (subject to change) DEFINITION: INDIVIDUAL/TEAM OR PARTNER PLAY – PLAYERS PLAY THEIR OWN BALL BUT SCORING/WINNERS ARE TEAM EFFORTS DEFINITION – RANDOM PAIRINGS – HANDICAPS ARE NOT USED TO PAIR, BUT HANDICAPS WILL APPLY IN SCORING MARCH 1 – ACE DAY- Individual Play – Like Handicaps – Putt Pot and Split The Pot - Pay out to overall low gross and low net as well as Ace Day qualifiers 9 Hole – Low Gross/Low Net 8– GENERAL MEETING – 8:00 - SHAMBLE – Team Play– Random Pairings – Pay out gross and net teams FORMAT - Like in a scramble, all members of a team (usually four) tee off and the best ball of the four tee shots is selected and then all players play their own ball until it is holed. Criteria – Each player must use at least 2 of their drives on both the front and the back 9 holes. 9 Hole – Shamble - Like in a scramble, all members of a team (usually four) tee off and the best ball of the four tee shots is selected and then all players play their own ball until it is holed. Criteria – Each player must use at least 2 of their drives on 9 holes they play. 9 – NINE, WINE, & DINE 15 – LUCKY 4s – Individual Play – Like Handicaps – Putt Pot – Pay out to gross and net FORMAT – Each player will count their gross and net scores on the Par 4s only 9 Hole – Lucky 4’s – Each player will count their gross and net scores on the Par 4s only 22 – IRISH TEAM STABLEFORD – Individual/Team Play – Putt Pot – Pay out to gross and net teams FORMAT – Standard Stableford points apply: Gross or Net Double Eagle: 4 points Gross or Net Eagle: 3 points Gross or Net Birdie: 2 points Gross or Net Par: 1 point Usually programmed on or near St Patricks Day, an Irish Team Stableford is normally played in the following way: Playing as a team of 3, all players play out each hole as they would in an individual stableford. On the first six holes (holes 1-6 inclusive), only the best stableford net and gross score of the four players is recorded. On the next six holes (holes 7-12 inclusive) only the best 2 stableford gross and net scores are recorded. On the next 6 holes (holes 13-18 inclusive, all three stableford gross and net scores are recorded. 9 Hole –Lucky Leprechaun - Before teeing off each player will draw from three bonus shots to be used anytime during play – 1. Move ball from fairway to rough, 2. Magic Putt, 3.
