BIOGRAPHY
Cristian Rabiti, Ph.D., MBA, is a nuclear engineer group leader in
the Nuclear Science & Technology Division at Idaho National
Laboratory. In this capacity, he works on developing the next
generation of software tools for analysis of stochastic systems. In
particular he oversees a team developing advanced algorithms and
software for probabilistic risk analysis focused toward the RELAP
family of codes (nuclear power plant safety). He has experience in
reactor simulation software development, reactor physics, time
dependent neutron transport, probabilistic analysis and uncertain
quantification. He holds an M.S. in nuclear engineering from the
University of Bologna in Italy and an M.S. in thermal dynamic
systems and energetic systems with specialization in nuclear
engineering from the Evry Val Essonne University in cooperation
with the National Institute of Sciences and Nuclear Techniques
(INSTN) in France. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with
specialization in nuclear engineering from the University of Stuttgart in Germany and an executive
M.B.A. from IE Business School in Spain. He is member of the American Nuclear Society where he
serves as alternate chair of the Reactor Physics Division Program Committee and member of the
Reactor Physics Division technical committee. He also holds a Professional Engineering license in
Italy.
