mixed addition and subtraction problems 0-8
complete math facts in a speed drill
addition and subtraction with missing addend
write associative addition and corresponding subtraction
problem
identify odd and even numbers
comparing numbers to identify the greatest, the between, and
the least in numbers up to 150
understand the terms “altogether” and “have left” and their
corresponding operation
write the story problem’s corresponding equation…do you add
or sub.?
reading graphs
touch & count and write the number
identify the digit in a number’s place value up to 100’s place
use ordinal numbers 1-12
count individual and mixed coins pennies, nickels, dimes,
quarters.

Language Arts –
Reading: I am looking for good expression, using
picture clues, smoothness, reading across in phrases.
(Not word by word.)
HOMEWORK: Reading books will be sent home each
night for a 15-20 minute reading homework time M-TH.
Reading Books return to school each school day. The
phonic charts 8, 9, 10, 11 should be read aloud each
night and can be found in the front of Secrets and
Surprises, and on earlier handouts. Review earlier
charts 6-7. Reading homework pages have been
posted for the week on the back of the student readers.

Language 1 Grammar, Creative Writing, and Reading
Comprehension In class we are working on proper
sentence construction and special phonic sounds.
Letters and Sounds –Special sounds practice is
included in each lesson. Test Friday
