FAQ’s
Why is Quaker making this change?
After receiving feedback over the years to commercialize a foodservice specific pack of our
Quaker SQO Oatmeal, we can now offer a bulk pack offering that makes sense for
foodservice operators. Also, as our oatmeal business continues to grow, this change will
allow Quaker to open up more capacity to support this pack configuration.
Is the product inside also changing as a result of this packaging change?
No. The same Standard Quaker Oatmeal (SQO) that is in the 12-42oz pack today will remain
in the new packaging configuration for each product.
What is the benefit to the customer to make this change?
We are constantly evaluating our products and packaging to better serve our customers.
This packaging will deliver a unique offering for foodservice customers that offer bulk
product for back-of-house preparation, a resealable feature to the bag to stay fresh over
multiple uses, and less packaging waste.
Is this a price increase or weight out?
No, it is neither a price increase or a weight out. The bracket pricing will be adjusted to the
new pack configuration and the price per ounce to the distributor will remain
constant. Note: the old configuration had 504 total ounces per case. The new
configuration is 480oz.
