OCTOBER ANNOUCEMENTS
STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Rachel Waller: Rachel is starting her 2nd year with Dynamic Movements, she started her training in
gymnastics and has recently decided that she loves dance just as much! Rachel has developed into
a beautiful dancer! She is now a member of Dynamic Movements Star Performers and will be
performing in the upcoming community festivals. Rachel has been working hard in classes and
improving her dance technique, keep up the hard work Rachel!
Samantha Schneider : Samantha takes class in the intermediate 5 & 6 year old combo class
scheduled on Monday. She is just beginning at Dynamic Movements but she learns new material very
quickly and has a natural dance talent. Samantha loves to come to class and is always paying
attention to learn the next step! Congratulations Samantha!
Email Difficulties
Dynamic Movements has been experiencing problems with our email system. We have taken action
to fix the problem and hope the problems have been solved. Please let an office attendant know if
you are still experiencing problems.
Holiday Closing: Dynamic Movements will not hold evening classes on Wednesday October
31. We will still hold morning classes on Wednesday October 31st. Missed classes may be
made up by attending other classes scheduled for the dancers’ ability and age. Students may
take the same subject or try a different subject.
Hip Hop Workshop: Duffy Johnson will be returning to Dynamic Movements on Saturday, November
10 to teach a Hip Hop workshop for all DM students from 9:30-11:00am. Duffy is from Dallas and is a
fun and amazing instructor. He has traveled the world dancing. He made his start in theme parks
such as Kings Dominion in Richmond Va. Later he entertained on cruise ships and has toured Europe
as an entertainer in various shows. His choreography can be seen on ESPN, Fox Family Channel,
ABC,CBS, and NBC. Duffy’s classes are slamming with energy and fun, making him one of the most
sought after Hip Hop teachers. Limited spaces available please sign up at the office, $20.00 per
student.
Adult Classes
Mommy and Me: Offered every Wednesday morning from 10:00-11:00am. Mommy and Me is a
class designed for children from newborn to age 2. Mommies attend the class with the child. The
price for the class is $45.00 per month or $15.00 per class.
Adult Combo Class: The adult combo class is scheduled for Friday nights from 7:30-8:30pm. The
class is held every other week and is pay as you go. The cost is $10.00 per participant per class.
Beginning in January, the class will be free and offered only to Dynamic Movements Parents.
We will be learning the parent’s recital routine at this time. All participants must attend beginning in
January in order to participate in the recital parent’s routine.
Christmas Fees: All Christmas fees are due by October 1st, Due to costume ordering, any student
not signed up by October 10th will not be permitted to participate in the Christmas Recital. Each
participant must purchase a new costume $63.00 and pay the recital fee $40.00. A routine will be
taught for each age group in all classes. The recital is scheduled for December 15 at Kings Fork
Middle School. There will be a mandatory dress rehearsal scheduled for the morning of the 15th at the
middle school. Each age group will also need to meet before the recital to rehearse, listed below is a
tentative schedule for each age group. Once sign ups are completed, we will be able to list specific
routines for specific age groups. Additional rehearsals may be necessary.
Ages 3-4 Saturday November 17 8:15-9:00pm
Ages 5-6 Friday November 9 7:30-8:15pm
Ages 7-9 Saturday October 20 4:30-5:30pm
Ages 10& Up Saturday October 20 5:30-6:30pm
Nutcracker Participants: All Nutcracker participants must pay the $40.00 recital fee as well as the
costume fee by October 1st. A letter was sent out via mail last week with all cast’s costume fees.

Christmas Parades: Dynamic Movements’ Star Performers and Dance Team will be marching in the
Suffolk (December 1st) and Smithfield Christmas Parades (December 8th). If any other Student would
like to ride on the Dynamic Movements float, please sign up at the office. Each student will need to
purchase a Dynamic Movements sweatshirt for $25.00 and we ask that all students wear black
gloves, black ski hat, & black scarf as well as a white turtleneck and black pants. We will also need
parent volunteers to ride with the students, please let the office know if you are intrested. Sign ups
are needed by November 1st.
Attention Star Performers: The staff at Dynamic Movements has had a blast this year so far
working with all of you! Please keep up the hard work! Listed below are important dates to mark on
the calendar.
October 12 Line Up Rehearsal (bring costume and hair accessories if you need help dressing for the
show) 7:30-9:00pm. We will run through the line up and then answer any parent’s questions about the
next day’s show. A parent meeting will be held from 8:30-9:00pm
October 13 Peanut Festival Performance 6:00pm (all dancers must arrive by 5:15pm). We will be
performing at the Harvest Festival Stage; traffic is sometimes difficult so please give your self an hour
for travel time.
October 20 Parade rehearsal 1:00-2:30pm
October 26 Line Up rehearsal 7:30-8:30pm
October 27 Driver Days Festival Performance 1:15-2:00pm (arrive by 12:30pm) Parking is limited so
we will meet at the studio at 11:45am to car pool.
November 17 Parade Rehearsal 1:00-2:30pm
November 30 Parade Rehearsal 7:30-8:30pm

Due to the amount of Solos, Duets, & Trios this season, we will need to audition routines for
