THIS IS NOT
JUNK MAIL.
WE PROMISE.
And you were tempted to ignore this guide. Thank
goodness you didn’t, though. Because we’re switching
over to a state-of-the-art, new banking system that will
make banking so much better, and we want to tell you
a little about it. It includes better online banking, bill
payment, and more. But there are some things you
need to know in order to use it, like the temporary
password you will need the first time you log in to
online banking on page 6, and how we have changed
the way we calculate average daily balances on pages
20-21. Hence this helpful guide.
1
SO WHAT’S THE
POINT OF THIS?
Actually, the point is you. More specifically, to provide you with an
awesome, modern banking experience that makes more sense than ever.
One that helps make your finances easy and seamless to manage. This
guide includes tons of new bells and whistles you will have access to with
the new system, but here are just a few of the best:
Ability to deposit checks with your phone
New online banking with enhanced security features
and state-of-the-art functionality and usability
Easier-to-read bank statements
Enhanced automation of our entire system,
including banking by phone, text alerts, electronic
loan statements, and a self-service portal
Ability to transfer funds between Hillcrest Bank
and non-Hillcrest Bank accounts
2
A FEW THINGS
YOU’LL NEED TO DO.
There are a couple of features that require your attention right away in
order for you to take advantage of our convenient new services. Namely,
Online Banking and Online Bill Pay. Don’t worry, we are here to help.
FOR ONLINE BANKING
With the current system, we will be able to process any transactions
scheduled by 7 am CT on Friday, October 9.
After that, you will only be able to view your account transactions and
statements. If you currently log in to online banking using the personal
button, you will be able to download statements from the old system until
Wednesday, December 9, 2015. If you currently log in using the business
button, you will not have access to your history. If you need assistance, please
call us at 855.629.7618. Please see page 5 for more details.
After 1 pm CT on Monday, October 12, you can activate your account
in our new online banking system. If you don’t, you won’t be able to
bank online. And that would be a bummer.
You’ll need to re-enroll to continue to receive your statements electronically.
Turn to page 6 for more details on re-enrolling.
After 1 pm CT on Monday, October 12, you can schedule any of your
transfers or Hillcrest Bank loan payments.
Go to “Money Center” or “Transfer Funds” after logging in to your account.
FOR ONLINE BILL PAY
Schedule any bill payments and make any online transactions by 7 am
CT on Friday, October 9.
Cancel your “eBills” before Friday, September 25, if you were
receiving your credit card statements or utility bills through online
banking. Your payees need to process your cancellation before you can set
them up again after Monday, October 12.
For more information on changes to Online Bill Pay, please visit us at
hillcrestbank.com/onlineresources or contact your local banking center.

ONLINE BANKING
MOBILE BANKING
ONLINE BILL PAY
YEP. WE MADE THEM BETTER.
Look for these new features:
Customizable design and search filters that make seeing and
selecting the information most important to you easier than ever.
New easy-to-use mobile banking app with mobile check deposit,
available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
Ability to easily transfer funds between Hillcrest Bank
and accounts you own at other banks.
Easier online banking navigation using our new
Quick Links and Money Center. Tracking and managing your spending and investments
all in one place with our new Personal Finance tool. More self-serve options, such as the ability to change your own
User ID, retrieve your password or update your contact information.
Easy access to tax forms, such as 1099s.
Ability to send money to a PayPal account and have it be available
immediately using People Pay (formerly known as Popmoney).
More alerts via email or text to help track debit card transactions,
CD maturities and transfers.
Newly designed online documents, such as statements and loan notifications,
will be available starting Tuesday, October 13, so you may receive two
statements in October.
4
ONLINE BANKING
What you need to know
If you currently log in to online banking using the personal button, beginning
at 7 am CT on Friday, October 9, you will only be able to view transactions
online. If you currently log in to online banking using the business button,
beginning at 5 pm CT on Friday, October 9, you will not be able to view
your accounts. If you need assistance, please call us at 855.629.7618.
The week of October 13, we will send a final statement from the old system.
After 1 pm CT on Monday, October 12, you will need to activate your
account in our new online banking system and sign up to continue
receiving your statements electronically. You can find instructions on how
to enroll on the following page.
Transactions will now be listed with your most recent transactions
appearing first.
Your alerts and nicknames will not convert to the new system,
so you will need to set up your alerts and nicknames.
Take a moment to reschedule any of your transfers or Hillcrest Bank loan
payments. Go to “Money Center” or “Transfer Funds.” If you don’t,
payments to Hillcrest Bank will not be made.
!
Your account history may not transfer, so it is
important that you download your statements
(see details above).
Seriously, do it. You’ll feel much better after
you do.
5
HOW TO LOG IN TO ONLINE BANKING.
(It’s not hard. We promise.)
On the afternoon of Monday, October 12, you can log in to online and mobile
banking the same way you always have. If you have a personal account, please
select the “Personal” option on the Hillcrest Bank home page to log in. If you have
a small business account, please select the “Small Business” option on the Hillcrest
Bank home page to log in. Your User Code or Access ID will now be called User ID.
For security reasons, the first time you access online banking after the system
upgrade, you will be required to log in using a temporary password. For personal
accounts, it will be the last six digits of your Social Security number. For small
business accounts, it will be the last six digits of your company’s Tax ID or your
Social Security number. You will be prompted to select where you want your onetime security code sent.
We will call or text a one-time security code to the phone number you selected.
After you log in with your temporary password, you will be prompted to change
the temporary password to a password of your choice.
You will also be prompted to change your User ID if it is less than 8 characters long.
Remember, history will start accumulating as of Tuesday, October 13.
!
You will need to re-enroll to receive electronic statements.
Re-enrolling is easy. Simply click on the Accounts tab, click on the Online
Documents link and follow the prompts to add Online Documents. The
system will begin to accumulate up to 18 months of statements.
!

LOAN
MANAGEMENT
What you need to know
The terms and conditions of your mortgage, consumer loan or line of credit
will remain the same with the exception of the Ready Cash Reserve account
as outlined on the following page.
For residential real estate clients, partial payments will be reflected on your monthly
statements as ‘Unapplied Funds’ and will not be credited to the loan balance until
the full amount of the scheduled payment is received. Complete payments not
made by the due date will incur late charges on the full payment amount past due.
Loan payment coupons will be phased out. You may begin receiving a billing
statement instead. You may use either the billing remittance or your remaining
loan coupons to send in with your payment. We will not be sending billing
statements to auto loan clients currently using loan payment coupons.
If you have a revolving line of credit, all payments must be made in U.S.
dollars and must be received by us consistent with any payment instructions
provided on or with your periodic billing statement. If a payment is made
consistent with our payment instructions but received after 5 pm CT Monday
through Friday on a business day, we will apply your payment to your credit
line on the next business day.
You will receive a statement for your escrow and real estate secured accounts
showing any activity from January 1, 2015, through October 12, 2015. Please
retain these statements for your personal records.
In January, you will receive a second statement for any first residential real
estate loan showing your account activity from October 13, 2015, through
December 31, 2015. This statement, coupled with the one provided in
October, will provide a complete picture of the activity in your escrow
account in 2015. Please retain these statements for your records.
All loans from Hillcrest Bank will now display as NBH Bank, N.A. on all credit
bureau reporting after the conversion.
10
The bank name will remain Hillcrest Bank on year-end tax reports.
!
If you have a Ready Cash Reserve (RCR) account for
overdraft protection, effective October 12:
Ready Cash Reserve account information will no longer be
printed on your checking account statements. You will receive
a separate statement as of the last day of the month.
Depending upon the date of your last statement, your October
statement may have more or less than one month’s worth of
activity and you may receive two statements in October.
After October, subsequent statements will contain
only one month’s worth of activity.
The billing due date is 20 days after the date of the statement.
You will not be allowed to overdraft your related checking
account in order to make your Ready Cash Reserve payment. If
no payment is made, interest will continue to accrue on the full
outstanding balance of your Ready Cash Reserve.

Changes to Section G in your
Deposit Account Agreement and Disclosure
(effective Monday, October 12, 2015)
Insufficient Funds and Overdrafts
(i) Overdrafts and Declined or Returned Items. We do not have to pay an item if there are not
sufficient available funds in your Account to cover the full amount of that item. If there are available
funds in your Account to cover some, but not all, of the items presented against your Account on
any day, (A) we will process, post and pay those items for which there are sufficient available funds
in your Account according to our standard posting order described above and (b) we handle all
other items in accordance with our overdraft procedures described below or in accordance with any
other agreement you may have with us. Even if we choose to pay one or more overdrafts, we are
not obligated to cover any future overdrafts. We are not required to send you prior notice on items
returned for insufficient available funds or items we pay into the overdraft. You agree to deposit
sufficient available funds to cover any overdraft and any service fees upon notice of the overdraft, and
to reimburse us for any costs we incur in collecting the overdraft from you.
(ii) Overdraft Practices. An overdraft occurs when you do not have sufficient available funds in
your Account to cover an item but, as a convenience to you, we pay it anyway. We may cover your
overdraft by using standard overdraft practices that apply to your Account. In addition, we also offer
additional overdraft protection plans that may cover an overdraft, such as a link to a checking, savings
or money market account, or a line of credit which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft
practices. To learn more, please ask us about these plans. In addition to the standard overdraft
practices applying to your Account, we offer three additional services to our clients. Each provides a
different level of protection when sufficient available funds are not available in your Account to meet
your spending needs. Our overdraft practices are not a guarantee of payment. To learn more, please
ask us about these plans.
(A) Enhanced Regulation E Overdraft Service. If your Account meets our eligibility standards
(based on the length of time your Account has been opened, the type of activity, and your
usage of the Account), with your consent, we may pay ATM transactions and everyday debit
card transactions such as grocery or gas purchases. (Adds reliability and reduces risk of your
ATM or debit card transaction being declined at the ATM or merchant location.)
(B) Overdraft Protection Transfer Services (Deficit Transfer). Optional “Overdraft
Protection” is available to link a second account such as a checking, saving or money market
account to your Account to cover an overdraft in $100 increments. (Please consult our Service
Fee Schedule for additional details on fees.)
(C) Ready Cash Reserve. You may also choose to apply for “Ready Cash Reserve” a line of
credit we offer to qualified depositors to cover overdrafts. A fee will apply for each transfer
(Please consult our Service Fee Schedule for additional details on fees). Interest charges may
also apply. Please ask about additional details or for additional materials regarding Ready
Cash Reserve. Subject to credit approval. (Provides peace of mind and may provide a safety
net, especially in an emergency.)

(iii) Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Our Overdraft Services.
What fees will I be charged if you pay my overdraft? Under our standard overdraft practices we will
not charge an overdraft fee on transactions less than $5.00. We will not charge an overdraft fee if your
Account balance is overdrawn by less than $5.00. Please note that we will not charge you more than 5
per item fees each business day. If your Account remains overdrawn more than 5 consecutive business
days, on the 5th business day we will charge you a continuous overdraft fee each business day until your
Account balance is brought to a positive balance. Please consult our Service Fee Schedule for additional
details on overdraft fees.
What if I want you to authorize and pay ATM transactions and everyday debit card transactions
with my consent? If you want us to authorize and pay these items as described above in our “Enhanced
Regulation E Overdraft Service”, your consent is needed to “Opt In” to this service. You can visit one of
our banking centers, call Telebank 24 and press zero to speak to an operator; or log into online banking
to sign up for this service. You can “Opt Out” at any time by visiting your local banking center, calling
Telebank 24, or by logging into online banking.
(iv) Discretionary Nature of Our Overdraft Services. Additionally, we may pay overdrafts at our
discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any item. We may
authorize and pay items based on a variety of factors, such as your Account’s tenure, overdraft behavior
or balance information. Our Enhanced Regulation E Overdraft Service described above is a discretionary
overdraft service; if factors warrant, we may not pay overdrafts and will return or decline to authorize
overdraft items. If you do not give us consent to pay these overdrafts and you attempt an ATM or debit
card transaction that exceeds your available Account balance, your transaction will be declined at the
ATM or merchant location. Your available balance will not include pending credits, such as payroll
deposits and may not include deposit activity of the day of the attempted transaction.
(v) Helpful Tips for Avoiding Overdrafts. Excessive overdrafts are discouraged. They are expensive
and may damage your credit. Here are some suggestions on how to avoid overdrawing your Account:
(A) Know your Account balance and keep a check register that is up to date. You may check your
Account balance anytime with these free services: online banking, mobile banking or Telebank
24 automated line. However, please remember that your Account balance reported through
these free services will not reflect outstanding items, such as debits and checks not yet posted
to your Account.
(B) Sign up for eAlerts to receive an email or text message when your Account balance is running
low. Additional data and message fees may apply.
(C) Utilize our Overdraft Protection Transfer Services by setting up an automatic transfer from
another account or apply for “Ready Cash Reserve”, a line of credit that would automatically
cover an overdraft.
(D) Contact us if you need assistance.

What you need to know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees
(effective Monday, October 12, 2015)
!
If you previously opted out of all overdraft protection coverage,
your account(s) will now have standard coverage.
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a
transaction, but we pay it anyway. We can cover your overdrafts in two different ways:
1. We have standard overdraft practices that come with your account if it meets eligibility requirements.
2. We also offer overdraft protection plans, such as a link to another checking, savings, money market, or line of credit, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft practices. To learn more, ask us about these plans.
This notice explains our standard overdraft practices.
What are the standard overdraft practices that come with my account?
We do authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:
• Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
• Automatic bill payments
We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you ask us to (see below):
• ATM transactions
• Everyday debit card transactions
We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize
and pay any type of transactions.
If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined or your item will be
returned which may result in additional fees from the merchant.
What fees will I be charged if the Bank pays my overdraft?
Under our standard overdraft practices:
• We will not charge an overdraft fee on transactions less than $5.00 or if your account balance is overdrawn by less than $5.00.
• We will charge you a fee of up to $35 each time we pay an overdraft.
• However, if your account is overdrawn more than 5 consecutive business days, on the 5th business day we will charge a continuous overdraft fee of $5 per business day until your account balance is brought to a positive balance.
• We will not charge you more than 5 per item overdraft fees per day (i.e. total overdraft fees per day could equal, but not exceed $175).
What if I want the Bank to pay overdrafts on my ATM and everyday debit card transactions?
If you also want us to authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions,
please visit one of our banking centers, call TeleBank 24 at 855.629.7618, or log into online banking
