CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES IN
THE EGYPTIAN MUSEUM
Thank you for your interest in the Egyptian Museum’s children’s parties.
Birthday parties last about 120 minutes. They are for groups of 15 children or less.
We have various different themes that are all built on the same system: the children can start their
party off by dressing up as Ancient Egyptians, then go on a short tour through the museum where they
also participate in a group activity, then come back to the room for crafts. If there is time, everything is
rounded out by an Ancient Egyptian fairy tale.
For an overview of our themes, see below.
If you wish to eat cake or provide a snack, you can book the room for an additional half hour (for an
additional 15€ fee). You will have to bring cake and plates yourself, as well as anything you wish to
drink. Please do not exceed the 30 minutes.
We ask that you please not bring any candles, and choose cakes that are not too sticky or runny.
Muffins or marble cake are good choices; for drinks we encourage individual cartons or bottles to
reduce the risk of spillage.
Please leave the room as you have found it and help your educator clean up. If possible, take your
garbage with you.
Please understand that our programme is only suitable for children already in school. The children
(both birthday child and guests) should be at least 6 years old. Please let us know when booking how
many children you expect.
