Only 1% more goods carried in the 4th quarter of 2016 than in the 4th quarter of
2015
Road goods transport, Slovenia, 4th quarter 2016
In the 4th quarter of 2016 Slovenian goods vehicles carried less goods in national transport and
more in international transport than in the same period of the previous year. In the same comparison
legal persons performed 10% more tonne-kilometres, natural persons performed 4% more tonnekilometres.
In the 4th quarter of 2016 a little more goods carried and more tonne-kilometres performed than in the
same period in 2015
In the 4th quarter of 2016 road goods motor vehicles registered in Slovenia carried 19 million tonnes of
goods, performed 4.9 billion tonne-kilometres and travelled 307 million kilometres by loaded vehicles. In
comparison with the 4th quarter of 2015, this is 1% more goods carried, 8% more tonne-kilometres
performed and 4% more kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.
In national transport less goods carried, more in international transport than in the same period of
the previous year
In national transport 11.1 million tonnes of goods were carried, 514 million tonne-kilometres were performed
and 49 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2015, this is 7%
less goods carried and 11% less tonne-kilometres performed. There were 8% less kilometres travelled by
loaded vehicles.
In international transport 8.1 million tonnes of goods were carried, 4.4 billion tonne-kilometres were
performed and 258 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. In comparison with the same
period of the previous year, in the 4th quarter of 2016 14% more goods were carried, 11% more tonnekilometres were performed and 7% more kilometres were travelled by loaded vehicles.
Legal persons carried a little more goods and natural persons less goods than in the previous year
In the 4th quarter of 2016 legal persons carried 14.1 million tonnes of goods or almost three quarters of all
goods and performed 3.6 billion or 73% of all tonne-kilometres; natural persons carried 5.1 million tonnes of
goods or 27% of all goods and performed 1.3 billion or 27% of all tonne-kilometres. In comparison with the
4th quarter of 2015, legal persons carried 4% more goods and performed 10% more tonne-kilometres. In the
same comparison, natural persons carried 8% less goods and performed 4% more tonne-kilometres.
