Fact of the
Month:
William
Shakespeare
invented words
like “rainbow,”
“staircase,” and
“swagger!”
This month on “In the
Spotlight,” we are
featuring two students.
One is a freshman student
who has gone above and
beyond the marking
period requirement for
independent novel
reading. They not only
read one required novel
and completed the
associated letter to the
author, but they have
read 12 novels in one
marking period. This
student also offers
suggestions for
expanding the
classroom library and
provides feedback on
the books that are
already available.
The other student is
a senior who has
been a positive
influence in the L.S.
11/12 English class.
He volunteers to help
his classmates and
often asks questions
outside of class
during his
advisement period.
Keep up the great
work!
Until Next Time,
