Miss Polly Had a Dolly
Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick
So she phoned for the doctor to be quick, quick, quick
The doctor came along with his bag and his hat
And he knocked on the door with a rat-a-tat-tat
He looked at the dolly and he shook his head
Then he said Miss Polly put her straight to bed
He wrote on a paper for a pill, pill, pill
I’ll be back in the morning with my bill, bill, bill
Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream
Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream

And everywhere that Mary went,
Mary went, Mary went,
Everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb was sure to go
It followed her to school one day,
School one day, school one day,
It followed her to school one day,
It was against the rules
It made the children laugh and play,
Laugh and play, laugh and play,
It made the children laugh and play
To see a lamb at school

Reading Time
It is never too early to share a book with your baby.
Try to aim for at least 10 minutes per day to help
develop strong basic language skills.
Tips:
 Use different voices, sound effects and facial
expressions to make the stories interesting and fun
 Make reading a happy time that you and your child
will cherish
 You don’t have to read all the words. You can talk
about the pictures instead
