Complete Sustenance For Your Soil
Our compost is made from recycled food scraps, resulting in a
dark, rich compost with greater nourishment and beneficial
biology than compost that is made from just leaves and brush.
Your customers will notice their garden's success when using
our consistently super-rich soil amendments. Our process
accelerates the natural cycles that are found on earth’s most
abundant soils, producing a complete living amendment to
nourish your customer’s soil and plants.
Our Story
Chesapeake Compost Works was started by farmers who
understand that quality soil is the foundation of a clean
environment and a healthy food system. We were frustrated
to see so much wasted food scraps being sent to the landfill.
Chesapeake Compost Works was creates the best soil
available, closes the loop in our waste system, and supports
those making the Chesapeake Bay region a clean and
healthy place to live.
