Uniform Policy (2015-2016)



























Tops
2-3 button solid navy blue, royal blue, white or grey polo style short or long sleeved collared shirts. One
emblem allowed on shirt. Emblems should be no larger than a quarter.
Any official C.E. Williams t-shirt which includes CEW clubs, organizations, teams, current year’s homeroom
basketball shirts and approved shirts from events in which CEW students participate/compete.
A CCSD High School Team shirt if the child is a current member of the team.
Undershirts must be white, navy blue, royal blue, or grey. Writing or undergarments should not be visible
through shirts.
Shirts must be tucked into pants.
Sweatshirts/Sweaters
Any official C.E. Williams sweatshirt (including hooded sweatshirts) which includes CEW clubs, organizations,
teams, current year’s homeroom basketball shirts and approved shirts from events in which CEW students
participate/compete.
Solid (no patterns, stripes, or emblems larger than a quarter) white, navy, grey or royal blue crew neck or
hooded sweatshirts (classic cotton or fleece).
Solid (no patterns, stripes, or logos larger than a quarter) white, navy, grey or royal blue cardigan sweaters.
One emblem allowed on shirt. Emblems should be no larger than a quarter.
Students are allowed to wear CCSD high school athletic sweatshirts if they are a current member of the high
school team.
All other sweaters, jackets, or sweatshirts may be worn as students enter or leave the building (recess,
mornings and dismissal, etc.) but must be placed in lockers at all other times.
Pants/Skirts/Shorts/Skorts
Solid (no patterns, stripes, or large logos) navy blue or tan khaki long pants.
Pants and shorts must be classic cotton or poly/cotton. No jeans material or corduroy pants.
No pajamas, jeans, jeggings, spandex, corduroy, or athletic shorts should be worn unless permitted/directed by
administration.
Leggings or tights may be worn under the appropriate bottoms.
Shorts, skirts, skorts and appropriate short sleeve dresses must reach below the fingertips if arms are hanging
down to the side.
Appropriate khaki or navy blue uniform dresses should be worn with a uniform polo style collared top.
All clothing should have a reasonable fit (not too large or too tight).
Pants must be worn at the natural waistline. Belts are encouraged for pants with belt loops.
Undergarments must be completely covered.
Students may not wear any clothing that reveals bare skin between the upper chest and mid-thigh. This
includes clothing that reveals skin or undergarments by way of rips, tears, or holes in this area.
Miscellaneous
Females may wear headbands that are not distracting.
Hats, bandanas, hair picks, rags, scarves, goggles, or sunglasses of any kind cannot be worn as headgear or
accessories. Refrain from wearing hoods in the building.
Shoes must be securely fastened to your feet. Open-toed and/or heeled shoes, flip flops, or slip on style shoes
are not allowed.
Females are allowed to carry purses the approximate size of a normal pencil pouch. Larger purses should be
placed in lockers during the day.
Necklaces should be tucked inside of shirts.
No clothing, jewelry, or accessory will be permitted that displays profanity, weapons, violence, suggestive
phrases, alcohol, tobacco, drug advertisements or other inappropriate phrases or symbols as determined by
the administration.
Students may not wear accessories or jewelry (including) that may be considered unsafe as determined by the
school administration. This includes but is not limited to facial piercing, gauges, chains and spikes.
