Social tennis
If you are looking for social tennis we have plenty to offer you.
Club sessions take place three to four times a week. They are organised
sessions offering short matches of seven games. They are a great way to meet
other members and are very popular.
We run club tournaments and leagues during the summer, winter and Bank
Holidays. These are suitable for all standards and most work on a handicap system.
You are welcome to bring non-members to play at the club up to five times a year, as long as they pay the
modest visitor's fee.
Competitive tennis
Sundridge Park enters several teams in the Kent and North Kent leagues for men, ladies, mixed and vets alike,
offering competitive tennis at all levels throughout the summer and winter.
Junior tennis
Sundridge Park believes juniors are the future of the club and
gives them priority on two courts. We offer juniors tennis as
a social activity or competitive sport, or to support a GCSE
in PE.
For junior members there is a full programme of group
lessons to choose from, suitable for ages 5-18, as well as
tennis camps in the school holidays. Every Friday is ‘Family
night’, a fun session organised by our coaches for children of
all ages.
Junior players can also enter club tournaments and may be
asked to play in senior league matches, we believe ‘if they are
good enough, they are old enough’.

Coaching
Do you want to learn to play tennis, squash or
racketball...or simply improve your existing skills
with our highly qualified coaching team?
Do you want to give your children an opportunity
to learn a new sport?
Tennis
Richard Whichello is a highly experienced and highly
qualified tennis coach who, as a player, represented both
county and country. He heads up our team of tennis coaches.
They offer an extensive programme of lessons for adults and
juniors, beginners through
to performance level, on an
individual or group basis. There's
bound to be something to suit you.
Group lessons are paid for half a term in advance, so
you are never committed to more than six or seven lessons at
a time. Individual lessons vary in price according to the seniority
of the coach and the length of the lesson.
Squash and Racketball
John Barry is our ‘England
Squash’ qualified coach. He
teaches in the evenings and
weekends, at times to suit you.
Whilst most of his teaching is
done on a one-to-one basis, he runs group sessions for juniors on
Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
We find that many new members played these sports as youngsters
or in their 20s. We can help you pick up where you left off, or just
get better whilst getting fitter!
