About the Course
Scope
Basically aeronautical engineers are involved in designing, developing and manufacturing aircraft.
The aeronautical engineers primarily are responsible for creation of safer and more energy efficient
economical methods for travelling including aircraft, satellites, missiles and spacecraft. The
subjects covered include science of propulsion, aerodynamics, selection of materials and
equipment that are utilized in aircraft.
Aero engineers are associated with developing, designing and manufacturing aircraft, spacecraft
which can exceed speeds more than 17,000 miles per hour and may weigh as much as million
kilograms and more.
On completion of the course, students can go for higher
studies, can also appear in all the U.P.S.C. Exams, public
sectors like HAL, NAL, ADA, DRDO etc. and private sectors
job like Taneja Aerospace, Mahindra Aerospace, GE,
Airbus, Suzuki, Honda, Tata, Mahindra motors, Tata Steel
etc. They can also apply for defence service as
commissioned, gazetted officer's vacancies. There are
more than 250 organization which one can join.
B.TECH (MECHATRONICS)

The course prepares the student for new emerging,
cutting edge technologies of present and future machine
vision, Automation and robotics, servomechanism,
sensing and control systems, computer, such as computer
driven machines like IE CNC milling machines, expert
systems, Diagnostic, reliability and control system
techniques, computer aided & integrated manufacturing
systems, computer added design etc. In short, after
completion of the course, the student will be fully equipped
to undertake all future R & D Challenges.
Mechatronics students, after graduation are well positioned to pursue M.Tech (Industry-Focused)
or Ph.D. (Research Focused) in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, robotics or computer
engineering. An undergraduate degree from SOA opens the door to post graduate studies across
India and around the world.
Those interested in joining industry are able to work in a variety of fields : Industrial Automation,
Intelligent Systems, Metal Forming, CAD/CAM, Production Engineering, Manufacturing
Aerospace and Robotics and many more cutting edge emerging technologies, Graduates of the
Mechatronics programme are in high demand in industry, Students also undergo on job
training in co-operation with industry to get industrial experience during their under graduation.
Many student even get hired by their employers after graduation.
