Specialist Cardiac CT Radiographer
Grade 7: £29,837 - £36,661 per annum
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior CT radiographer to take on a
key role in the research programme funded by the NIHR/BRC and the British Heart
Foundation in the University of Oxford. The Senior Radiographer will also be involved
in the provision of our highly patient orientated, clinical cardiac CT service of Oxford
University Hospitals NHS Trust. We require someone who will enjoy working in an
exciting, friendly, cutting-edge environment performing advanced cardiac CT (using
clinical and research techniques). The post-holder will also receive full academic
credit for their contribution to this program of work.
The post-holder is expected to:
 Coordinate and perform research cardiac CT scans
 Recruit and consent patients into clinical research studies
 Access patients’ medical records
 Be actively involved in the management of research projects related to cardiac CT
 Participate in image analysis/data entry
 Cannulate patients/obtain blood
 Participate in the clinical cardiac CT lists of OUH NHS Trust.
Requirements (full list can be found in the job description):
 BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent qualification in Radiography
 Post graduate qualification in CT imaging.
 Substantial CT imaging experience with experience in cardiac CT.
 Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team or single handed and evidence of
excellent communication skills.
 Ability to instruct others in cardiac CT
 Proven ability to perform IV injections/phlebotomy
This post is funded by the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and the British
Heart Foundation, is available to start as soon as possible (for 2 years in the first
instance) and it is based in the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
