*The original "INTERSCHOLASTIC" Track Meet was organized by Dr. JP Rowe in 1904. Dr. Rowe was a Geology
Professor at Montana State University (now the University of Montana) in Missoula.
**To make it easier for the average person to read these lists, we have used the Fully Automatic Timing conversion
sequence for all the running events that were hand timed. If the time shown in hundredths at the front of the line is followed by an
asterisk, then the time was registered with manual timing. If the time doesn't have an asterisk, then the time was registered by a Fully
Automic Timing Devise. National rules dictate that all hand times must first be rounded up to the next tenth of a second and then
increased by 0.24 seconds. An example would be a hand time of 10.51 seconds changing to 10.6 and then adding 0.24 seconds
to make the official converted FAT time 10.84 seconds.
***All of these performances were accomplished by Montana athletes who were in good standings with their high schools
at the time of their performance.
