Two CDs for Phonological Process Therapy
Phonology I is a structured therapy based on Hodson’s Phonological
approach. The colorful drawings are simple and clear without extraneous distractions.
Phonology II has exercises with a
whimsical element, while focusing
on eliciting repetitions. Clients pop
bubbles, help a bulldozer do its work,
fill a pond with lily pads, catch fish,
grab flying
objects
as two

Practice Visual Discrimination
Appearances Can Be Deceiving is a game to practice "seeing"
based on the figure-ground relationship of letters, letter pairs, and
words. The targets and foils range in difficulty from single letters to
typical vocabulary, spelling, and reading words
from elementary school to college; and challenge
words from a variety of disciplines.
What is a Figure-Ground Relationship?
Figure is the space occupied by the
letters (the black ez). The ground is
the space surrounding
the letters.
Phonemic Awareness has seven stimulating exer-
cises that provide the basics of phoneme recognition and production, sound to symbol correlation,
sound segmentation, blending, and syllable segmentation.
In Rules, Rules, Rules! students learn the basic
rules for reading and spelling by identifying the
vowel sound in a word, sounding out the word,
and identifying the rule.
“Spelling Test on Friday!” teaches a six-step
process–look, listen, say, listen, spell, check–for
accurate spelling. Words range from K-8th grade
level.
