Ronnie Nyles Rock / Alternative / Contemporary / Indie / Country Singer / Songwriter Ronnie Nyles has long been revered as one of the premier women entertainers of the mid-west. Her career has taken her on many musical journeys throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe. These tours have Ronnie headlining concerts and festivals engagements as well as opening for National and International recording artists. With a wide dynamic and expressive range, Ronnie can belt out a raspy Rod Stewart roots rock sound or slip into a smoky, torrid blues with her voice. Ronnie’s distinctive voice blends a variety of songs and styles that include rock, country and acoustic folk leaning on the musical influences of Bonnie Raitt, Heart, Joni Mitchel, John Mellencamp, and Janis Joplin just to name a few. Consistent staying power has earned Ronnie a strong, dedicated following. That same staying power and dedication has won her multiple nominations and eight WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) awards which include four “Female Vocalist of the Year” awards, two “People’s Choice” awards and two “Contemporary / Pop Artist of the Year” awards. In addition, Ronnie stays true to her own material having released three CD’s, “Building Rome”, “January Weather” and an all original Christmas CD “It’s Christmas”. She grew up in a household full of art and music; her mother is a ballerina and her father is a songwriter as well. S he began songwriting when she was eleven and it only progressed as she grew older, leading to the release of her first album, Warm & Sweet. Watson taught herself guitar when she was thirteen, and since has learned ukulele and some mandolin. Few can match the sultry soulfulness of Genevieve Heyward. The Wisconsin native has been performing and receiving accolades for several years, most recently adding songwriting to her already full resume. Whether it's jazz, folk, blues or pop, Genevieve can rock the house! To Zoe, songwriting has always been a way of speaking without really having to say anything. Metaphors and hidden meanings often play a part in her music, which she finds lets people draw their own conclusions and relate her songs directly to their own lives and situations. With influences such as Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, Daughter, and The Front Bottoms, Zoe has formed to an indie-rock style of songwriting with passionate, truthful lyrics and comforting guitar melodies. On Warm & Sweet, her debut album that was released in October of 2015, Zoe released twelve original songs and one cover. The entire album started with the writing of the song “Baby Blue Lullaby”, which she had written for her sister the year prior. It stemmed off into an eye-opening adventure of discovering not only what it means to love yourself and be self-aware, but also what it means to love and respect the people around you. Currently, Zoe is working on producing her second album, titled Intimacy, which she hopes to have released by March of 2016. She finds excitement in new opportunities and is hopeful and excited for this upcoming album to be released. www.watsonsmusic.bandcamp.com/releases . In the recording studio Genevieve is prepared to lead the way in creating her own tracks. Two years ago she recorded her first demo CD featuring "Words Will Follow" an aptly named ballad, any writer's blocked composer could appreciate. Another track, "All for You" is a soothing, tongue in cheek track about a rather one sided relationship. "Bang Bang" however shows Genevieve's true range, arcing from blues to hip-rock and back, all the while telling a heartfelt tale of love and street violence. It's the songs from the heart, about younger generational values and relationships that only indie singer songwriters like Genevieve can tell. Anyone can relate to her lyrics, and vocals that cut through the air as quick as they pass across the audience ears, mind and soul. Recently writing and performing "Daydreamer" she tells the tale of a friend, comforting another while giving really down to earth advice, "everybody needs, a little broken heart...". Genevieve (or Gen to her friends), started like many in the solo singer category, a variety show here, a local festival there. The multi talented Heyward is a natural, being able to play by ear, and showing a mastery for piano and guitar. Her breakout year coincided with the summer of her freshman year of high school. Genevieve rocked the tent at Under the Big Top Music Fest in 2013. The Washington Island event would also propel her to Mandy Cappleman In addition, Heyward has been featured at Tales Music Fest in Burlington, WI, the Mile of Music Festival in Appleton, WI, East /West Music Fest in De Pere, WI, the WAMI Youth Showcase and the Steel Bridge Songfest in Sturgeon Bay, WI. March of 2014 saw Genevieve open for national performing artist, and Season 6 "The Voice" contestant Megan Ruger. Gen wasn't done getting cozy with famous artists, as she opened for Little Big Town at the Walworth County Fair in August that same year. No one should forget that Heyward works many events around a jam packed school schedule (after all, she's only a 16 year old junior). Dipping in her bag of talents has found Genevieve on stage with her school’s Jazz Ensemble for the last two years. She has also developed into quite the actress performing roles in "Anything Goes", "Crazy for You" and this year's production of "All Shook Up" in a leading role for the Drama department. Singer / Songwriter Mandy is a singer/ songwriter and visual artist from the Milwaukee area. Being very shy, for a long time Mandy’s poetry was her only true voice. When she realized she could sing and learned some guitar, her poems easily transitioned into songs. Now, at 29 and a mom of two, Mandy writes songs for adults and children. www.aephyd.wix.com/mandycappleman She was invited on more than one occasion to "jam" with blues, folk, country and other artists at Fiddler's Green on Washington Island. Genevieve has also had jam sessions all over the island, including Trueblood Performing Arts Center (where she opened for national recording artist Ellis Paul). Genevieve adeptly covers Etta James, Patsy Cline and other greats with the willful devotion of a much older, more seasoned performer. She also dips into today's artists with ease, covering Bon Iver, Alt J and other contemporary performers. She attributes her musical roots of jazz to her dad. On the business side, mom Kim, "the manager" as Heyward lovingly refers to her mother, can be found at every gig, large or small, usually with camera in hand. SheRocks Wisconsin will be launching it’s YouTube Channel SOON! We're quite sure Genevieve will be breaking, and winning hearts as she continues her musical journey. www.genheyward.com Log onto the SheRocks Website Submit your video TODAY!
