She has been teaching for 16 years. She comes to HJS from Little Cypress Junior. High, but is originally from California. Mrs. Wojnowski has three sons. On the weekends, she spends her time reading. Coach Burgess teaches 8th grade Health. Before he came to HJS, he worked in Deer Park. The best thing he likes about HJS is his health students and the athletes. His favorite sport is soccer. Natalie Leffall Mrs. Leffall teaches Career Investigations and Journalism to 7th and 8th graders. Prior to coming to HJS, she worked as at KUHF 88.7 FM. Mrs. Leffall owns several businesses and loves to sing. Marisa Coy Ms. Coy is a 6th g r ade Mat h teacher. Before coming to HJS, she was a student teacher at Galena Park Middle School. Ms Coy is a graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School where she was a part of the Stars Drill Team. In addition to being a teacher, Ms. Coy is also a Houston Texans cheerleader. It’s never too early to start preparing. HJS Counselor, Ms. Pearson, offers the following suggestions for tackling the TAKS Get a good nights sleep before test. Maintain positive attitude before and during the test Exercise before test. It reduces the stress. Stay relaxed. If you feel overwhelmed, take a few deep breaths to relieve the stress. Try visualization strategy. To relax the night before and on the day of, repeat the phrase, “This is only one of the many tests I have to take.
