Complete with glass chandelier, bold stone columns, beautiful stained glass windows and murals by George Murray, this stunning room was originally the Council Chamber when the venue was built in 1890. It still maintains that charm today and is perfect for private dinners, receptions and weddings. The Main Reception Room is also used for pre-dinner drinks for events in the Great Hall, to which it is adjoined, and is also licensed for wedding ceremonies. This versatile space is also where we hold most of our Christmas parties and wedding receptions. This later extension to the original building offers a sophisticated audio-visual system, including a new 11 metre wide split projection screen. We can help you with styling the space, from flowers and chair covers, to creative lighting and decoration. Originally the library, this charming room is ideal for boardroom meetings, lunches and dinners. With discreet audio visual support, we can accommodate theatre style presentations. It also provides a unique backdrop for standing receptions. The Small Reception Room was once the presidential dining room for the building. With its original mahogany table and bronze fireplace, this regal and historic room is an elegant space for lunches and dinners, boardroom meetings, training seminars and receptions.
